Let’s face it, the brand of motor you choose to power your Weldcraft is equally as important as the boat itself. In conjunction with our independent dealers, we’ll make recommendations based on your usage and budget, but we don’t dictate a specific brand. Weldcraft is a preferred OEM manufacturer for all major motor brands including Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Suzuki and Evinrude. The choice is yours. here

Welded for life. It’s more than a tag line. We transform heavy-gauge, marine-grade aluminum into flowing, all-welded designs, capable of navigating wandering rivers, heaving oceans or wind-whipped reservoirs. From massive box girder runners that are welded the entire length of the bottom to provide stout support, to extensive bow bracing that’s uncommonly rigid and tough, Weldcraft has a rock-solid infrastructure that serves as the foundation of every boat. Add premium components, hundreds of feet of welds, all-season materials and thoughtful ergonomics applied to every inch of every Weldcraft. here

If your dream is to own a boat that’s built to fish better than any other, you want a Weldcraft. After all, Weldcraft boats are designed and built by anglers. In our office and on the factory floor, you’ll find walleye fanatics, steelhead specialists, bass professionals, trophy trout chasers and salmon slayers. This on-the-water expertise translates directly to the design and performance features we include on every model. While they are specialized, they are not restrictive. All Weldcraft models are multi-species machines that can adapt with minimal accessory changes. here

If you go to Yamaha's website and work your way through their website they have technical bulletins specific to how their motors peform with the hewescraft and the weldcraft. My browser is having fits so I can't get the link for you. more

I have been on both a 22' et ht hewescraft 150 yamaha, and a 22' hewescraft et ht ocean pro 175 suzuki, and set food on a weldcraft et ht. The regular hewescraft is pretty tippy at rest but still a good boat and takes the seas nicely (that is why it is tippy). (I've got one friend who has one) here

I think you will like the tin boat as you can really do a lot and go to a lot more places without having to worry about scratching your gel coat.

Here is my question. What is the differance between these two boats? All I can really tell is 3 windshield vs 2.

storage of the boat is defo up there when deciding how big you can buy but I believe that depends on your neighborhood and how safe you can look things up. I for one would not buy based on if I could park it the garage as ive already had a 20' 26 with trailer and swimstep and that weren't big enough mine was under canopy.
I also think off shore brackets are the way to go that way a 18' boat truly is an 18'er as for hanging over the transom there are steering and throttle options or the ultimate TR1.
weldcraft is a better boat IMO you could also shoot an email to mike boulton you will be surprised how they fair off in price compared to the ones mentioned here.
