No problems or complaints.

Use the blue marine Stabil for boat tanks. Don't know why other than what the label says, but the blue stuff steered me away from the red Stabil. I use what the instruction says, but a little more won't hurt other than waste the stuff. [links]

STA-BIL® Storage is formulated to protect the fuel from deteriorating for up to 24 months, meaning that the fuel will remain at full strength and not varnish or gum up the internals of your engine. This eliminates the need to drain your fuel before storing the engine. It also protects ethanol blends as well.

With your fuel properly treated, you can rest assured that your engine will start up when you need it, even after a long hard winter. Whether you are storing a lawnmower, motorcycle, snowmobile, classic car, or generator, STA-BIL® will ensure the fuel stays at full strength. [links]

The bottle is unique to STA-BIL® fuel stabilizer, as you might notice. There are two spouts, one is normal, and one is long and skinny. This is the measurement spout. Uncap the spout, squeeze the bottle until the fluid reaches the line you need, and then pour out that metered dose. STA-BIL® should be added at 1-ounce per 2.5 gallons of fuel for proper protection. here

Use fuel stabilizer in your mower’s gas tank when storing it for 30 days or more. Or, if you have a small lawn that only requires infrequent mowing, you can extend the life of gasoline stored in a container by adding fuel stabilizer to it. If you don’t want to measure liquid fuel stabilizer into your gas can, some manufacturers make a cartridge filled with fuel stabilizer. Use it by snapping it into your lawn mower’s gas cap. It’ll slowly drip fuel stabilizer into your mower’s fuel.

Whether you're storing your lawn mower for the winter or you just want to keep gas stored in a container for more than 30 days, adding fuel stabilizer is necessary. Mix the correct amount of fuel stabilizer to gasoline, and your mower’s fuel system should be protected from pitting and gumming up. Plus, your mower will start more easily when you take it out of storage next spring.

The ratio of fuel stabilizer to gasoline varies by manufacturer. To find the proper mixing ratio for a specific brand, refer to the fuel stabilizer label. Some brands recommend adding 1 ounce of fuel stabilizer to 1 gallon of fresh gasoline, while others recommend adding 1 ounce of stabilizer to 2.5 gallons of fresh gasoline. The important thing to note is that the ratios are dependent on the brand of fuel stabilizer used, not the brand of lawn mower or whether the mower is a riding or walk-behind model.

Mixing the recommended ratio of fuel stabilizer to gasoline is only part of the equation when it comes to keeping your engine starting easy. For fuel stabilizer to work, it must be blended with fresh gasoline, preferably at the time it is purchased. Adding it to stale gasoline more than 30 days old will not “re-freshen” the gas. To get the benefits of fuel stabilizer, fill your mower’s gas tank with the stabilizer-gas mixture, and then run the engine five to 10 minutes to circulate it through the fuel system. This puts it where is it needed so it can protect your engine’s carburetor.

Whether your mower’s engine calls for straight gasoline or a mix of gasoline and two-cycle oil, fuel stabilizer can be added to protect against moisture in the tank. The ratios for gas-oil mixtures are usually the same as those added to straight gasoline, but check the fuel stabilizer’s label to ensure you add the proper amount. If you’re using gasoline blended with ethanol, fuel stabilizer can be added to lengthen its life as well, but it must be a brand that is made for gas-ethanol mixtures. more
