There is no „safest“ Caribbean island, but research shows that some destinations do have higher crime rates than others. So, what are the safest Caribbean islands to visit.
Bonaire is a part of the ABC islands and is a special municipality of the Netherlands. Unlike most Caribbean islands, it is located outside of Hurricane Alley and years go by without a single homicide on the island. However, in May 2017 two murders occurred within 24 hours, to the shock and horror of both travelers and locals alike. here
The Turks and Caicos are some of the safest Caribbean islands for families due to their soft sandy beaches, gentle seas and warm year-round temperatures. The region’s rainfall level is low compared to some of its counterparts, and hurricanes are few and far between. This British Overseas Territory is comprised of 40 islands and cays – only a handful of which are inhabited by the 30,000 or so local residents. This number is a stark contrast to the half a million tourists who arrive by plane each year.
St. Barts is short for Saint Barthélemy. This Francophone island is a French overseas collectivity. Known as a party place for the rich and famous, it is also dubbed safe due to its murder rate of zero. more

Hurricanes hardly happen in Hartford, Hereford and Hampshire, as Eliza Doolittle sang in "My Fair Lady." But travelers take note: none of these locations is in the Caribbean. Hurricanes do happen in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Barbados and most of the other islands. The storms aren't always devastating or lethal, but they are absolutely guaranteed to ruin a vacation. The season runs for many months, but it is said that October is the month most likely to have a storm.
You don't have to think too long to come up with a good guess as to the high season in the Caribbean. When winter chills your bones in the States, a visit to a Caribbean island is particularly attractive.
For those who like to flee cold weather but want even more to avoid tip-top prices, shoulder season can be a good pick. Go the month after high season, May, or the month before, November, for lower rates and weather that is still quite fine, with regular sun and only moderate rain. Because May and November can be quite pleasant in many states too, you won't find the shoving crowds. more
