Prior to some unsettled water and sea conditions, anglers were getting into some big tuna. 200+ pound fish, some taken on kites but most on the troll with live baits and lures. Next up are billfish. Striped marlin are plentiful and black and blue marlin are in play as well. Big black marlin made a great showing at the Bisbee's East Cape and it's likely that they'll play a big role at the scales in Cabo as well. Dorado are around, not huge fish but respectable 20-35 pound fish often in large groups that make for multiple hook-ups and great fighting. more

Fishing in Los Cabos is about as close as you can get to guaranteed catching. While the fishing here is incredible, it helps to know what's biting when and where. That's why we put so much time into this section of our site. We put together a comprehensive fishing report that's compiled from the input of the charter operators we're in constant contact with. They give us great info and we thank them for it all the time. The folks at Minerva's Baja Tackle, Pochos Charters, Dreamweaver Sportfishing and a bunch of our private boater friends pass along their reports and we put it all together here.

Last, roosterfish and sierra. The toothy suckers called sierra are making for great surfline fishing from boat or shore. It's early in the season yet and the bite will only improve into 2019 peaking March. The roosters aren't supposed to be here yet, but they are. Pangas make for great platforms to fish both sierra and roosters – Pacific side surfishing trips are paying dividends as well. Until you've caught a roosterfish from shore, you haven't really fought one! here

Autumn is a colorful time. Leaves transfigure into shades of red, orange, and yellow. It is also a great to reel in some swordfish, blue and black marlin, wahoo, Dorado, yellowfin tuna, sierra mackerel, and mako shark. The swordfish and yellowfin tuna can be some biggest fish a fisherman can catch. A yellowfin tuna can get as big as several hundred pounds. Swordfish can get even bigger than a tuna. [links]
