After your gastric sleeve surgery, you will wake up in the hospital, a bit tired, and without a lot of pain. You may feel happy. The happy feeling is usually due to the excellent pain medication your doctor has already administered, but it’s also due, in part, to the sense of relief that comes from knowing that you’re done and safe.

This diet usually lasts about eight weeks or so before your doctor will clear you to eat solid foods. This diet is a significant improvement over the soft, pureed foods only diet. Remember, you’re losing weight – stick to the diet. Aside from losing weight, you do not want to risk any complications.

It is recommended that you should not drive for 2 to 3 days after the surgery, this is on the whole is advised to allow the anesthetics and any postoperative pain relievers or analgesics to wear off and you should not feel dizzy. The wounds will heal in about 10-14 days, so a person may feel some discomfort while driving at first hence it is not advised to drive for a few days.

Ah, back where we started. We'll have to use a ratio adapter and perhaps a speedometer gear change as well to tune in the speedometer. GM used #3932220 ratio adapter on many Chevelles. This part has a ratio of 0.7333/1 and retails for about $75 list from your friendly GM dealer. The effect of this adapter is the same as lowering the number of teeth on the speedometer driven gear by 26.7%. For example, if you needed a 48 tooth gear for your THM400, none is available but you can use this adapter with a 35 tooth gear to get the same result. [links]

Low in cost, a SPEEDI-SLEEVE is slipped over the worn area quickly and easily, and provides a surface that is actually harder than that of a new shaft. The same size seal (as the one being replaced) fits snugly onto the new surface. And each SPEEDI-SLEEVE comes as a kit with a disposable installation tool. more

A SPEEDI-SLEEVE can be removed by applying heat to the sleeve with an electric heat blower, which will expand it enough to let it slide off the shaft without causing damage. here

Pinion seal maintenance recommendations vary by manufacturer. Generally these seals must be replaced when leaks develop. Pinion seals should be checked and replaced whenever servicing a universal joint. Replacement of the pinion seal usually requires removal and installation of only the pinion shaft nut and flange. Remember, a circular mounting flange, U-bolts or straps are…

In the old days, the remedy was either to replace the crankshaft or remachine its surface. Either choice was costly
