While one BMW X4 model arrives in Geneva by way of alpine passes, another reaches the city in a closed transporter. A first exclusive view.
Until now, the new BMW X4 2018 was only seen as a sporty M40d top model. At the Geneva Motor Show a more civilized gasoline-powered xDrive30i is featured as a model type M Sport X. here

Geneva is one of the easiest motor shows to get to – it is quite literally a 5-minute walk from the airport. Manufacturers love to launch concepts there, the weather is often great in March and you’re only an hour from the ski slopes which makes it a great long-weekend destination. The downside – Switzerland can be a seriously expensive place to stay and eat – don’t say we didn’t warn you….

Joining the road and race Vantage siblings is the V8-powered DB11 Coupe together with the recently launched DB11 Volante. It’s the first time both derivatives of the DB11 and the new Vantage have been shown collectively. Adding further excitement to the brand’s presence at Geneva is the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing F1 TM show car. Sporting the new 2018 livery to celebrate Aston Martin’s title sponsorship, the new F1 challenger will be accompanied on press day one (March 6th) by Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal, Christian Horner and Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey. Underlining its credentials as the most sporting model in Aston Martin’s series production range, the Vantage road car is joined by Aston Martin Racing’s new Vantage GTE race car. Built to contest the World Endurance Championship (WEC), including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the striking racer is in the final stages of an intensive development programme ahead of its international race debut at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in May.
Aston Martin’s spacious new home is stand #2229, located in Hall 2 of the Palexpo Exhibition Centre. The move was required to accommodate what promises to be the most diverse and exciting display of road and race cars Aston Martin has ever gathered at Geneva. more
