Your McCulloch equipment has a factory model number and serial number on a sticker-like label or metallic tag attached to the unit in a place away from moving parts (usually near the handle, under the seat, or on the side of the unit). The best way to buy repair parts for your McCulloch is to begin by searching for your McCulloch model number on PartsTree and use the OEM McCulloch parts diagrams to find the parts that fit exactly like the originals from the McCulloch factory. When you locate your McCulloch model tag, take a picture for future repair parts needs. here

Note: To buy engine parts for your McCulloch , like an air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plug, tune-up kit, or carburetor parts, you will likely need to search separately on PartsTree for your engine model. On McCulloch equipment, the engine model and specification ("spec") numbers, as well as serial number and sometimes type and code, are often stamped above the muffler, by the spark plug, or near the overhead valve cover. Beside above, is McCulloch a good chainsaw? Top positive review By far this McCulloch saw for the money is great. It is powerful and does not bog down easily. I would recommend this saw to anyone who is considering purchasing a fine chainsaw. Powerful, Easy to handle, and quite affordable considering quality of saw.

Dad dropped off an old McCulloch saw the other day. Told me it was purchased in either 1959 or 1960 by my grandfather. I've never actually seen it run, but he did get my curiousity going. I'm having trouble identifying it- can't seem to find any model designation or serial number. Would really like to get a hold of a parts and service manual and put it into working order. Have no intention of making it a working saw- have a good Stihl 032 for that- but it does have certain sentimental value. Any help (where is the model designation/serial number) would be greatly appreciated. more

Take your McCulloch chainsaw to your nearest McCulloch retailer, and ask for assistance in identifying the model. Find the nearest McCulloch retailer by visiting the McCulloch website, clicking on "Products" then "Chainsaws" to reach the web page mcculloch.com/us/products/chainsaws/, and click "View Retailers" on that page.

Visit the McCulloch International website. Click on the "Support" link, and then click "Contact Us," or visit mcculloch.com/int/support/contact. Ask for help identifying the model number of your chainsaw. Have the year the chainsaw was made, the serial number and any other specifications handy to aid in this process. Specifications particular to your chainsaw may include terms such as OxyPower, soft start, integrated combi tool or tool-less chain tensioning.

Examine the owner's manual of your McCulloch chainsaw. The model saw's number should be listed on the manual's cover page. [links]

Turn the McCulloch chainsaw upside down, and locate the serial number plate, which is a metal plate on the bottom of the chainsaw. Scan the plate for the word "Model" followed by a series of letters and numbers; the letters and numbers are the model of the chainsaw. A model number example is "CS 380." [links]

You may need the model number of your McCulloch chainsaw in order to purchase replacement parts, to list it for sale or to download its owner's manual from the McCulloch website. A McCulloch chainsaw's model number is listed directly on its body. If, however, the serial number plate is damaged or missing, several other methods can be used to identify the chainsaw's model number. more
