PONTOON BOAT RENTAL RATES [links]
We rent Pontoon Boats for a half or full day. The boats go fast on holidays, so call early to make a reservation. This is a great way to enjoy our local water without the headaches of boat ownership. We pay the storage, insurance and upkeep, you just come and cruise the beautiful Tennessee River on Lake Pickwick. Certain rules and limitations apply. We cannot be responsible for accidents or injuries.

Pontoon Rental Agreement is available here. Feel free to download and fill out prior to your rental for faster service. Rental includes safety equipment. No boater license is required. A valid Driver's License and security deposit are required. Rental rates do not include fuel you use. Make a reservation for a full day to guarantee availability. Half Day rentals are on a first come basis. Must be 21 years of age to rent.

Alabama's waterways provide houseboat enthusiasts more miles of navigable rivers than any other state in the U.S. Locks and dams break up long stretches of river. Sheltered spots on the broad lakes formed by the dams offer a safe place to drop anchor for the night. Rental houseboats are hard to find in Alabama, but boat owners passing through or looking for a place to retire can expect good weather, convenient marinas and navigable rivers.
Alabama requires all resident boaters in the state to complete a boater safety education course, but non-residents 14 years of age and older don't need to take the course. Lifejackets that fit must be readily available for all passengers, and children under 8 must wear their lifejacket at all times. Houseboaters within 800 feet below a dam or lock must have their lifejackets on and secured. Alabama law requires houseboats to have a fire extinguisher on board and boats with onboard toilets must have a marine sanitation device. The devices are subject to inspection on a yearly basis.
Most boat dealers in Alabama don't keep houseboats in inventory, so houseboat sales in Alabama are typically handled by individuals who buy and sell directly rather than through dealers. Boat Trader's website (boattrader.com/browse/houseboats/)is a clearinghouse for new and used houseboats for sale. The inventory changes as boats are bought and sold, but a recent listing offered a 36-foot 1994 vessel at a houseboat-friendly marina on Lake Martin. Listings include pictures of the boat, a description and the seller's contact information. P. Talley Floating Home Houseboats (horsebarnauction.com) in Baileyton builds custom designed vessels that look more like traditional homes than houseboats.
