Grenada is somewhat of an untouched beauty in the Caribbean. This little island is perfect for a beach vacation getaway where you won’t have to deal with hoards of tourists and bustling crowds. The rainforest also offers a great escape into nature, while St. George’s (the capital) looks like a mini replica of the Italian Riviera.

With its delightful Dutch-colonial architecture, thriving art and culinary scenes and excellent museums, Curaçao feels like a little piece of Europe at the edge of the Caribbean. A little piece of Europe, that is, with glorious hidden beaches, wondrous caves, amazing snorkeling and diving, and a wild, undeveloped windward coast dotted with prickly cacti and whiptail blue lizards.

Avoid the busy capital of Fort-de-France and head north or south through some of the island's alluring scenery. The rainforested, mountainous north is the most spectacular, but the south has its fair share of natural wonders, including lovely bays and miles of gorgeous beaches. Add to this a dash of Gallic joie de vivre and you'll understand why so many people love Martinique.

The U.S. expats praise Barbados. If you can obtain a work permit in advance or prove that you can support yourself and your dependents, you are ready to experience one of the best Caribbean islands. What expats appreciate the most about this prosperous island country is its political and social stability and steady economic growth. Its health and education systems are highly regarded. Low crime rates imply a higher standard of living, but not one that is out of reach for the middle class. here

Daily life in Grenada’s capital St. George’s reflects life on this island country – slow, relaxed, simple, cordial, and safe. Do not expect vibrant nightlife, shopping malls, and a high-end lifestyle. Do expect chatty locals, rum shop culture, and high humidity. Most importantly, expect untouched nature. Waterfalls, beaches, dense foliage, and hilly landscapes make the most of the panorama. If you decide to relocate to this Caribbean island, prepare for a life full of (very) simple pleasures.

There are conditions to mirror your U.S. lifestyle, but you can also choose to live more simply, like a Belizean. The diversity on this Belizean island is wonderfully multifaceted; Ambergris Caye allows you to live however you prefer. here
