A recreational-boating retailer, OneWater Marine purchased both the shipyard as well as the rights to the in-water slips. Bob Roscioli, who died last year, established Roscioli Yachting Center in 1968. It went on to regularly service some of the biggest yachts and most well-known owners in the world. Austin Singleton, CEO of OneWater Marine, recognized the late Roscioli in a statement. “Bob Roscioli founded Roscioli Yachting Center with the mantra ‘Today’s the Day,’ which is echoed by the OneWater team,” he says. “We are incredibly proud to welcome the Roscioli team to the OneWater family and to blend their industry-leading skillset with our proven strategic vision.”
That vision includes augmenting the company’s repair and service offerings, as well as its presence in the large-yacht market. Generally, OneWater has concentrated on new- and brokerage boat sales, particularly production boats, through dealerships. For the last 30 years, Brewer worked for Derecktor Shipyards in various roles, most recently as senior manager. He is a member of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida board of directors. [links]
OneWater Marine tapped industry veteran James Brewer to oversee operations at Roscioli Yachting Center, which OneWater acquired late last year, as managing director.
The company said Brewer will lead strategy and planning efforts at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based repair, refit and service center, as well as business development for OneWater Yacht Group. Roscioli will support sales of the Absolute, Belize, Riviera and Sunseeker brands.
OneWater acquired Roscioli Yachting Center in December 2020.

The Roscioli team includes over 100 skilled employees that provide services ranging from custom carpentry and fabrication to painting and refinishing. The yard generated revenues in excess of $15 million over the past 12 months, according to a statement from OneWater.

OneWater Marine Inc. announced that marine industry veteran James Brewer will join the company as managing director of the Roscioli Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, effective July 12, 2021. In this role, Brewer will lead strategy, planning and execution, as well as business development for the Roscioli Yachting Center within the OneWater Yacht Group.
