Delaney Evans climbed aboard the Lady Michelle, and we immediately learned that she is one smart yachtie. "I graduated Berkeley with a degree in media studies, which is part-psychology, which I thought was super interesting because I love learning how to get people to do what I want," the new crew member shared in an interview during the episode, adding that she also gained a new appreciation for the water during her time in college. "The best thing that happened because of Berkeley wasn't actually school-related, but I joined the sailing team and had a really good time."
Katie later said that "if she is gonna try, then I can try," when it comes to Delaney. The chief stew even told some of the other crew members during the charter that Delaney was "actually doing all right considering she's never been a stewardess before" during her first day on the job. here
After being greeted by David Pascoe, Delaney introduced herself to Captain Sandy and shared a little bit about her background on boats. "I worked as a sailing skipper in Croatia and Greece. I did, like, 35 weeks of charter over three years during the summers," she said. "Anything from 35 feet to, I think, the biggest I did was 62 feet."
This year, Captain Lee will be joined by a very familiar face.
Fortunately, fans might recognize one crew member, and that’s Eddie Lucas from the first three seasons of the show. Sure, they might be wary of him, given how he exited the show rather hastily after finding himself in the middle of rather contentious sexual relationship with third stew Rocky Dakota back in season 3. But we’re going to have to wait until the new season actually premieres to see if Eddie learned the error of his ways… here
Bravo's Below Deck is officially coming back for an eighth season and returning to its roots in the Caribbean. Leading the crew is none other than Captain Lee, of course, because it wouldn’t be a season of the original installment without the stud of the seas taking charge. But with long-time chief stew Kate Chastain retiring from the show (and yachting), fans are wondering who could fill her shoes, as well as the rest of the stew and deckhand positions.
As for the rest of the crew, most are pros when it comes to working on yachts, but will they get the job done under Captain Lee's watch? We'll have to wait and see until the season kicks off on November 2nd. more
Captain Lee once found himself in a similar position. He was captaining another 50-ft boat when his boss asked him to run My Seanna to drop it off at St. Marton to film Below Deck. He was just supposed to hang around the beach and check on the boat every few days while the rest of the crew filmed a reality show with a different captain. That captain didn’t work out, however, so he was asked to film the show.
A lot of the photos Captain Sean has captured while traveling the planet have been of the plastic waste that is engulfing our oceans and is found in even the most remote areas. He works with The Ocean Voyages Institutes to work towards a plastic-free ocean. He also works with developing new technologies to address sustainability issues with boating and yachting like non-toxic coatings for hulls and pipe works and using Hydrogen fuel. here
The trailer for Below Deck Season 9 starts with the news that Captain Lee Rosbach won’t be able to make it to the boat because he has an unspecified condition. It’s revealed that Captain Lee eventually returns, but in the meantime the crew has a new captain: Sean Meagher.
He has spent his life sailing all over the world, including the ice fields of the Northwest Passage and the North pole. He’s also explored volcanos, jungles, and all corners of the world. His other passion is photography, and he’s captured amazing photographs during his explorations. more
