Two versions of the Aquawatt motor are available – 20 hp (13 kw) and the 30 hp (22 kw), both driven by AC motors and powered by 48 V or 80 V LIFEPO4 batteries. As All4Solar's name suggests, it can also sell all the gear to enable the batteries to be charged by photovoltaic solar panels, with a charger from the grid or by generator. Anyone who operates a petrol outboard in a marine environment will no doubt be eager to finally have a viable alternative to existing petrol engines for larger boats. Electric outboards are more cost efficient to run, much quieter, are maintenance free and generate no hazardous emission at all. here
Champions of clean emission boating will be thrilled to know that rapid progress is being made in the field and much larger boats can now be powered by electric motors than ever before. Australian electric outboard motor specialist All4Solar has announced a 30 hp version of its Aquawatt electric motor which will become the most powerful electric outboard motor in the world. Due for launch at next month's Sanctuary Cove Boat Show on Australia's Gold Coast, the 30 hp (22 kw) Aquawatt is claimed to be three times more powerful than any other manufacturer's electric outboard. more

According to New Atlas, the folks at Vision have teamed up with Hellkats Powerboats to push the all-out electric boat world speed record up over 100 mph. A little over a year ago, the Norweigan electric motor maker Evoy announced the 150-hp Pro electric outboard motor as the world’s most powerful electric outboard motor. Evoy even said more powerful versions are also coming soon.
If its power wasn’t cool enough, this new electric outboard was designed to be quickly swapped out with more traditional internal combustion engines. This means you can snatch the old engine out of your boat and immediately have a quiet, zero-emissions boat in the snap of your fingers. VMT says that this motor is best for boats between 18ft-26ft.
The “world’s most powerful e-outboard motor” title is one thing, but making a run at the world’s fastest electric boat title is a bit more complicated. So, Vision is teaming up with Hellkats Powerboats to tackle the record for the fastest electric boat. here
Vision loosely estimates that the 180E could power a compatible boat up to 70 miles while cruising at 20 mph. But, again, these numbers can greatly vary depending on headwinds, how packed the boat is, and water conditions. Once the battery is flat, VMT says that the battery will take a full night to charge using a 220-volt outlet. more
The makers of the most powerful electric outboard motors in the world, Vision Marine Technologies (VMT), are now making a run for the fastest electric boat in the world. As of May, Vision’s E-motion 180E outboard motor is available for reservations. This motor is not only the most powerful electric outboard motor in the world; it is also cleaner and quieter than the traditional outboards. With any luck, the 180E will break the 100 mph mark making it the fastest electric boat in the world.
Even with boats, the range is a crucial factor. Although we are talking about the world record for the fastest electric boat, range is still more important than raw horsepower. With boats, range is a bit trickier to calculate. With the VMT 180E outboard motor, the range will heavily depend on the boat, its weight, the shape of the hull, and weather/water conditions.
“In other boat motors, be it electric or fossil fuel, the motor is typically situated in a box above the waterline, transferring thrust to the propeller through a complicated set of shafts, bearings and gears,” explains Gustav Hasselskog, Candela’s Founder and CEO. “The Candela C-POD gets rid of the gears altogether. Two ultra-compact yet very powerful electric motors … coupled directly to a propeller, which minimizes friction losses. Contra rotating propellers add the benefit of very high propeller efficiency.”
The primary engineering challenge for Candela was in getting powerful enough motors compact enough to make the C-Pod practical. The solution required a re-think of conventional EV motor design, wherein motor volume is driven by torque, rather than power. “Candela opted to increase the rpm and lower the torque to boost the Candela C-pod’s power density,” reads the official, dense press release. “The best way was to split the thrust needed on two propellers. The reason is that the maximum rpm is limited by the speed of the propeller tip moving through water. At around 45 m/s propeller speed, the pressure in the flow around the propeller reaches vacuum and starts to boil … so splitting load on two propellers allows for propellers with smaller diameter and thereby higher rpm – and in turn smaller motors.”
So, we know it’s fast, but one other benefit from the Candela C-Pod is its nearly silent operation, even at 30 knots. That means you can now positively blast across the lake in relative quiet and without waking up the neighbors (even if you are “that guy”). here
Pipistrel just rolled out the world’s most powerful electric aircraft — and it’s the first to seat four people. The Taurus G4 required two years of preparation and development, but took just four months to build. Its uniquely aerodynamic design connects two Taurus G2 lightweight gliders with a 15 ft. wide electric engine.
The aircraft has an empty weight of 2,348 pounds, with nearly half of that consisting of electric batteries. With a maximum passenger weight of 3,300 pounds, the plane is virtually guaranteed to hold four people and their extra baggage. here
The concept aircraft carries many of the advantages originating in the microlight world. Its lightweight carbon fiber and Kevlar construction gives it many of the qualities of a glider, while a 1,036 lb. lithium polymer battery pack combined with a powerful electric propulsion drivetrain make it ultra-efficient.
