At Harbor Freight Tools, the "Compare to" price means that the specified comparison, which is an item with the same or similar function, was advertised for sale at or above the "Compare to" price by another additional retailer in the U.S. within the past 90 days. Prices advertised by others may vary by location. No other meaning of "Compare to" should be implied. For more information, go to HarborFreight.com or see a Harbor Freight store associate. Harbor Freight prides itself on having quality tools at the lowest possible prices – this is an everyday value proposition, but Harbor Freight still runs coupons on regular basis that can be redeemed in-store or online on top of their already low prices. One might ask “why are Harbor Freight’s prices so cheap and affordable when competitors often charge double or TRIPLE what Harbor Freight charges?”…and that’s a question we hear a lot! The answer is simple, at Harbor Freight, we cut out the middle man. We work directly with the manufacturers of our tools to get the best possible prices – and we pass the savings onto you, essentially cutting out the middle man. No upcharge for “fancy names and slogans” here, just quality tools at the lowest possible prices, as stated in our tagline!

For those of you that aren’t familiar with it, Harbor Freight is a discount tool seller that has some ridiculously cheap tools. Some of which are a waste of money, but some are great and well worth the price and then some. You just have to know how to cull through the items that are a waste of time and money. That’s what this post is about.
If it didn’t work out then I’m not out much. But if it really got the job done then maybe my next needle scaler would be an upgraded model from Home Depot that should only improve my production. I used the cheaper tool as a low-risk trial. more
Another way to utilize Harbor Freight’s super low prices are in basic goods like gloves, brooms, moving blankets, or chip brushes. I don’t think you can really screw up a moving blanket can you? Sure, there are premium moving blankets but I really just need something to protect the floor or my windows from damage so I don’t care if they are triple pleated to feel like angel kisses. more
What I like best about these is that you put the tie down clips wherever you need them rather than using the ones that come on the universal boat covers. This way it is tight in all the right spots and you get no puddling at all. I don't even have to pull it super tight when the clips are in the right spots. That's why I get away with bungee cords rather than boat cover straps. here
Thanks for the info, been wondering about doing this for some time!

First drain cleaner frame bent beyond product assembly and not useable.Got second Drain cleaner after arguement with Danny Dist mgr. This one appears undamaged, but pin retaining drum was laying in bottom of box. Drum walks forward, belt jumps off. AGAIN I HAVE UNUSEABLE NEW PRODUCT FROM HARBOR FREIGHT. Now a return is required for a PUMP OR SPRAYER for this device. IT IS NOT A PUMP OR SPRAYER but it is POS. I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE MON.
Matt makes a good point: “Do a little research Many of the big ticket items at HF are the same exact item made in the same exact factory” here
If you’ve used these but never owned a set of your own, you should pick up a set of Pittsburgh ratcheting combination wrenches. A set of these from a tool truck will set you back a nice chunk of change, but Harbor Freight's are fully affordable. They make life much easier when it comes to those hard-to-reach bolts, and they haven’t failed us yet.
Admit it. You’re guilty of this. That wonderful red Harbor Freight Tools coupon book somehow made its way into your mailbox once again—and as you thumb through its pages, your imagination goes wild. Visions of no longer using a breaker bar to undo lug nuts because you now have an impact gun and compressor run through your mind. Or, finally saving money on fabrication because you have your own welder and lathe. You tell yourself you’ll quickly stop by on your way home, just to pick up some extra shop towels or batteries. Two hours and $200 later, you walk out of Harbor Freight with full cart, a slightly lighter debit card and a smile, because you feel like the master of savings! But we’re here to tell you that not everything from Harbor Freight is gold.
If you’re anything like us, you might open your tool box drawers 100 times in one weekend of wrenching. Harbor Freight’s tool boxes may look neat and resemble more expensive brands, but the devil is in the details. The drawer slides, locking mechanisms and overall quality just doesn’t really constitute the savings.
Hey overlanders, if you’re going to spend $55,000 on a Toyota SUV, try to spend more than $20 on your roof-top solar panel. There’s no telling how efficient or weatherproof their panels are, so we just won’t take the risk. here
