Sounds like the line from the head of pump to the pressure switch is clogged either at the brass fitting at the head of pump or at the connection at the pressure switch. here

I live on a houseboat and have a Dayton Jet Pump to pump my water in winter when the dock water is shut off. I just filled my tanks and turned on the pump and have very low pressure. The water comes out in a thin stream and after 30 seconds or so, the water pump kicks on and I get a little more pressure. I think I have to reprime the pump, but don't know how. I read on another site that some pumps can be reprimed by unscrewing the pressure gage and putting water in there. This seems to be the only place there could be to put water in. I have lived on this boat for 15 years and have never had this problem. Can someone help ASAP.
Thanks! more

EZ Dock was created by two water enthusiasts who were tired of the heavy maintenance, frequent storm repairs and the carbon footprint associated with traditional dock options. Our founders decided there had to be a better way. Luckily, our floating, durable and eco-friendly docks for lakes and other water systems were created. All our docks are made to withstand harsh weather and are designed not to paint, chip, warp or peel. It means less maintenance for you, with more time on the water. more
