So I just picked up a new Yamaha 4 stroke. It ran good when I was buying it from the guy but I accidentally loaded it into my trunk with the tiller up and oil leaked into the pistons which caused my pull cord to lock up. I pulled the spark plugs and got all of the oil out of the pistons (I think) which allowed the cord to pull properly again. I put new spark plugs in and tried to pull the cord and it’s locked up again. Any ideas on how to fix it? Or do I need to do a full carb clean to free up my pull cord again. Also I noticed when my spark plugs were out and I pulled the cord the oil light would flash on the engine. Not sure if I just need to replace all the oil that leaked out but when I check with the dipstick it seems to have a proper oil level. Any help would be appreciated, trying to get it fixed for Labor Day, thanks. more
