2-2 Features of YAMAHA Autolube
The oil pump is driven by the engine through a reduction gear, and is connected to the carburetor throttle cable, which in turn is controlled by the accelerator grip. The oil pump automatically regulates the volume of lubricating oil according to engine speed and throttle valve opening, thus pumping the precise amount of oill for engine lubrication under any operating condition. more

The view glass is in excellent condition. Fits my bike perfect.
the oil tank level fits and works great on my bike and is very easy to install !! here
The 58cc two-stroke single produced 4.5 horsepower when new and features Autolube oil injection, an integrated Mikuni carburetor, and a high-mounted black exhaust system. An overhaul is said to have been carried out in 2016, and the oil tank was filled in preparation for the sale. [links]
This 1971 Yamaha JT-1 is powered by a numbers-matching 58cc two-stroke single mated to a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red and white. Features include Autolube oil injection, full suspension, a cross-braced handlebar, raised fenders, and a front number plate. The mini enduro motorcycle was acquired by the seller in 2020, reportedly following a refurbishment in 2016 that included paintwork as well as overhauls of the engine and oiling system. This JT-1 is now offered in Florida at no reserve for off-road use only with a bill of sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheel through a four-speed manual transmission and a drive chain. [links]
The chrome cross-braced handlebar features a clutch lever on the left, as well as a front brake lever and kill switch on the right. Total mileage is unknown. [links]

Although Autolube was first used on two commercially available motorcycle models, the 75 cc YG1D and the 125 cc YA6, the technology was first developed at the track for Yamaha’s racing machines. Separate lubrication was used for a motorcycle raced in the France GP in 1961, providing a clear example of Yamaha’s history of developing technology through racing. However, around the next year in 1962, momentum was gathering both domestically and overseas for addressing the problem of environmental pollution, so application of the technology to commercial motorcycles was hastened. The 10th All Japan Motor Show, the forerunner of the Tokyo Motor Show, was held in the fall of 1963. Compared to other years, this particular show held special significance for Yamaha as it was here that Yamaha unveiled its automatic lubrication system, Autolube, which completely revolutionized 2-stroke engines.

“Autolube,” a combination of two English words “automatic lubrication,” was revolutionary for eliminating the system for supplying a gas and oil mixture to the engine, which had been a weak point of 2-stroke engines, and replacing it with a separate oil injection mechanism. Like 4-stroke engines, the oil and gas could now be supplied separately. The debut of Autolube freed riders from supplying the mixed fuel themselves, curbed oil consumption, and substantially reduced exhaust fumes. [links]
