even my friends 2 stroke dirt bike does the same, smokes a little bit at startup when cold and then disapears once warmed up..
Yes, when you let a 2 stroke sit for a long period of time, then try to start it, it will smoke for a few seconds. My ski has been smoking like that for about 5 minutes. I took of the rubber coupler between the exhaust manifold and the stinger and took a pic.
As you can see the smoke is coming from the stinger. I have never seem that much smoke in the water jacket before. Any ideas where it can be coming from?
I looked it up and the second pisser is the water overflow. So its normal for water to come out there? The other outlet is pissing water just fine. I don't think water is getting into the cylinders because it running fine.
when i start it, it smokes a little bit and then it stops after warmed up on the hose. a good 20 seconds or so and the smoke is gone.. same with the 2stroke snowmobile.. [links]
If it is just the oil, if I run it for a while should there be less smoke? more
I started my jet ski for the first time this season and I noticed that white smoke was coming out of the water outlet that's on the left, front side of the ski. There are two outlets, the first one spits out water, but the second one which use to do nothing has alot of white smoke coming out. Is that normal? What is that outlet for?
