Macaroni Beach is perhaps the most stunning of all of the beaches on the private island of Mustique. There is only one hotel here, as well as a range of luxurious vacation rentals. As with most of the beaches in this country, these feature gorgeous white sand and the reef protected waters for which these islands have become so famous. There are of course many enviable destinations in this part of the world, including Barbados, Jamaica, and St. Lucia, but one could make a strong argument that the combination of the pristine beaches, colorful reefs, and sterling blue waters make St Vincent and the Grenadines the best of all. People who travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines also have the advantage of less crowded beaches, making for more private and tranquil holidays overall. You will find the best St Vincent beaches distributed throughout the various islands, including Mustique, Canouan, Union Island, Bequia, and Tobago Cays. As you are making your plans for your trip, choose carefully when it comes to accommodations on the island. You will want to be right on the beach. Luckily enough, most of the hotels and vacation rentals enjoy prime beach locations.
Besides St Vincent Island, Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines. It is also where you will find some of the very best St Vincent beaches. These picturesque beaches offer an escape to a paradise that includes white sandy beaches and sweeping vistas of the crystal blue sea with its vivid coral reefs. Moonhole is a beach located in the southern portion of Admiralty Bay that is perfect for romantic moonlit walks and afternoon picnics. Lower Bay, Friendship Bay, and Belmont round out the list of the premiere beaches on Bequia Island.
Mayreau is another of the islands in the Grenadines where you can find some of the best St Vincent beaches. The island only consists of 1.5 square miles, but rest assured, every square inch of the land is amazing. The sprawling coastlines have white sand the consistency of sugar, and the waters are calm and warm. This is one of the favorite destinations in St Vincent and the Grenadines for diving and snorkeling because of the clear waters and expansive coral reefs. If you can pull yourself away from reveling in the sun on the beach outside of your luxury hotel or villa, you can not only enjoy these, but other activities like kayaking, windsurfing, and fishing.
Union Island also has some of the premiere St Vincent and the Grenadines beaches. Godahi Bay Beach, Charlestown Bay, and South Glossy Beach are all guaranteed to take your breath away. Dive or swim in the warm tropical waters, charter an excursion to the other islands, or lay just lay back and enjoy the perfect weather and warm sunshine. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – is a state in the southeast of the Caribbean, bringing together 33 islands of volcanic and coral origin. From the moment we stepped foot on Saint Vincent’s enchanting shores, we knew we had found some place special. Not only for its stunning backdrop, but its captivating people and community. When choosing a new resort location, the destination has always been of paramount importance to us and we loved what we saw in the country’s infrastructure and boutique feel.
Fort Charlotte, which sits at 183m (600ft) above St Vincent's Kingstown, has some of its few remaining cannons facing inland because the British were as worried about the fierce Carib Indians as foreign invaders. Spend a day picnicking and swimming at Owia Salt Pond, a bathing pool enclosed by lava peaks and ridges but protected from the pounding Atlantic surf.
Known by the Caribs as Hairoun ('Land of the Blessed'), St Vincent is the central island of the nation known as St Vincent and the Grenadines. The group consists of more than 30 islands and cays spread out like broken chain links between St Vincent and southward to Grenada. Still largely untouched by tourism, most hotels are small and stress individualized service. On St Vincent, the Botanic Garden founded in 1765 claims to be the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. The garden contains a real prize, one of the original breadfruit trees brought from Tahiti in 1793 by Captain Bligh after the famous Bounty mutiny. St Vincent proudly bears the nickname 'The Breadfruit Isle'. South of St Vincent, the Grenadines resemble the South Pacific with its string of uninhabited islands surrounded by crystal clear water and white sand beaches.
St Vincent contains the most interesting attractions of the islands. Besides exploring the Botanic Garden (located off the Leeward Highway in Kingstown) and viewing its strain of Captain Bligh's breadfruit, hike up 1,234m (4,048ft) La Soufriere, an active volcano that last erupted in 1979. North of Kingstown, the Vermont Nature Trails venture through a lush rain forest where you might glimpse the rare and colorful St Vincent parrot. The Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary (Park Beach, Bequia) offers the chance to view endangered hawksbill turtle hatchlings close-up. The young turtles are raised until three to five years old when they're too large for most predators and then released.

Due to the island's volcanic origin, most of St Vincent beaches are black sand with two notable exceptions at Villa and Indian Bay, where many hotels are located. For classic white sand beaches, choose the Grenadines such as Union Island, Canouan, Mustique and Bequia. [links]
There are so many islands to see, depending on your time and budget. Charter a sailboat to leisurely explore the Grenadines or fly to one of the islands with its own small airport. Three well known islands (St Lucia, Barbados and Grenada) are also an easy flight away for day or overnight trips.
