In 1987 a 105 cu. in. block was introduced and eventually was made as a 100 hp, 115 hp, 120, and 125 hp. Totally different engine with loop charging and on some models a feature that leaned out one of the carbs so much that below approx. 1700 rpm, the engine was running on 2 out of 4 cylinders. These engines did not like being revved over 5500 rpm.

Nearly every boater stores gasoline. Under these circumstances, stale or compromised gas can quickly occur and is an enemy of your Mercury outboard’s carburetion system. In short order, old gasoline can gum up the carburetor float bowl and clog tiny jets and passages. The term rebuilding might concern boaters who have not attempted this procedure before, but it is really not that difficult. It simply means cleaning the varnish and gum from the float bowl, jets and passages. This can be done even by a first-timer in a couple hours. Up for sale is a 2003 Triton 17' Aluminum Boat. This boat has a 50hp Mercury motor (2003) on it. The trailer is also a 2003 model. The boat comes with everything shown in the pictures. There is a clear title for the trailer and there are the marine certificate of titles for the boat and the motor as well as the current boat registration. As you can see in the pictures the boat is very clean on the inside. The bottom of the boat does have some wear on it. This boat has no leaks and is water ready.
