5. Trans does not upshift out of first, speedometer reads zero at all times: Could be VSS failure. Rear of transmission needs to be fixed. Transmission needs to come out in order to access VSS.

2. 1-2 shift does not happen at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) until you let off the gas: Best case: try replacing the TPS. Middle case: leak in the 2nd gear apply circuit (servo assembly or 1-2 accumulator). Double check by using the pressure gauge and watch for a big drop when the PCM commands 2nd gear. Worst case: poor line pressure rise (see below).

Same thing I thought when it first happened on the one I had, but low and behold, it was melted vacuum lines, seems to be a very common problem on many GM 4x4 vehicles, which is why the aftermarket companies have made solutions for it.

Driving in the snow the other day and I went to put it in 4x4 but it did not engage. Indicator lights were not lit on any selection as well (2hi, 4hi, 4lo). Pulled fuse to check for problems and didn't see any apparent problem and replaced. 2hi light came back on but still will not engage 4hi or 4lo. What should be the recommended process to check for problems? Thanks for your help.
