The Ford Explorer Sport Trac has a towing capacity from 2540 lbs and 5260 lbs depending on the trim and model year.

Good Vehicle To Get Out Of Town And Off The Beaten Path With. — All in all this vehicle has been a reliable vehicle, that has safely taken me to work, and play. Have had no major mechanical issues, and all though it only has a V6 engine I rarely feel like it struggles up hill with cruise control on. The bed of the truck is small but fits the roll of quick pack it up and get out of town. The sides of the bed made it difficult to put my bed runner bike rack by thule on it. On and off road no complaints.
Very comfortable, easy to handle.
Cruise control died after two years, several attempts to repair to no avail. Dealer gave up. Spent out of pocket to no avail. Currently experiencing electrical failure in dash board. Fuel gauge is spastic, fluxes between E and F constantly. Requires $500 plus fix. Dashboard lights go on and off, flicker, hard to see speed after dark. Windows quit working some times. Doors won't lock sometimes. Disc player doesn't give discs back. Same one for 8 or nine years! (Lion King) Comfortable for long trips. Like body style and ride. Engine has been super, no problems, I've taken good care of it mechanically.
Electrical has been a mess from day 1.
