You get a 10 feet long (or short) body, which makes the Slayer Propel 10 extremely easy to maneuver. Turning left and right is no issue, especially when you compare it to its larger brother, the Slayer Propel 13. The hull is also 34” wide, which does speak volumes about the stability you’re getting – this is what allows you to easily stand up in it. You’ll also find deck padding, if you want to make sure your feet don’t slip when you’re standing up. [links]

In terms of price range, the subject of today’s review, the Native Watercraft Slayer Propel 10, is somewhere in the middle. However, in terms of performance, features and build quality, it can easily go up there with the big dogs. It even beats a lot of the crowd favorites in numerous categories. But how good is it, actually? Let’s find out in our Native Watercraft Slayer Propel 10 review.

The hull is designed to maximize stability. If you turn it around, you’ll find that it has a tunnel shaped hull, similar to a pontoon. This gives it plenty of primary, as well as secondary stability. In layman’s terms, this means it will be very stable in both calm and choppy conditions. here

When it comes to pedal fishing kayaks, there isn’t a “one size fits all”. Some prefer a larger kayak that moves easier, while others rather opt for a shorter, yet wider option. Some also spend quite a lot of money on one, while others prefer to go cheap and not get something that’s very high end.

Weight– or lack of to be more precise. Weighing in at 62 lbs (without the drive unit) the Slayer Propel 10 is the lightest 10′ pedal drive fishing kayak on the market. Light enough to lift car top or effortlessly slide into the back of a pickup, this little yak is a master of hands free fishing.

Powered by Native Watercraft’s unique Propel Pedal Drive System which boasts forward and reverse, the Slayer Propel 10 keeps you on the fish and provides a major aid landing the catch of the day. Armchair-comfortable seat, rock-solid stability, clutter-free cockpit: the design empowers even the xxl angler to stand and sight-cast or to just relax and sip the beverage of the day. Propel speeds vary depending on currents and wind, but we find pedaling 3.5 miles per hour all day long smooth and easy. Native Slayer Propel 13 Kayak is considered game-changer in hands-free kayak fishing. The Slayer Propel 13 is unmatched in its ability to maintain casting distance, pull away from structure or stop on a dime when trolling to relieve rod pressure. You’ll also enjoy rock- solid stability when sight casting– even for the XXL angler.

The Native Watercraft Slayer 10 Propel kayak is the newest, and smallest, member of the Slayer family. The Slayer 10 Propel has many of the same features as the Slayer 13, but its lighter and more maneuverable. It features a wide open deck and a fast stable hull as well as an extra large rudder. The Propel system is the only pedal drive that can be pedaled in reverse, an essential capability when battling the catch of the day. The seat can be quickly adjusted forward or backward for a total travel distance of 11" and still have plenty of room behind the seat for tackle boxes. The Slayer 10 Propel features ample foot pads on the deck to increase traction and reduce noise. The open bow trunk is perfect for Native fish bags, PFD storage, and comes with scuppers for drainage when punching through waves or surf, and with Native's groove track mounting rails located on each side from bow to stern customizing the Slayer is a cinch.
