240 outlet next to gas line
See full version: House wiring question: Electrical outlet near gas water heater
On the other side of one of the walls of the storage space is my kitchen. There is a power outlet in the kitchen that I never use. I want to turn it around, basically and make it face the storage room instead of the kitchen. Seems pretty simple. Cut a hole in the sheet rock, detach the power box and spin it 180 degress and reattach.
I don't worry about it, and I'm not dead yet. [links]

Thanks, Calvin. The plumbing inspector stopped by this morning, so I asked him; he said there is no regulation concerning this. more

Direction of the way the plug lays is also critical-or you'll be limited in how close you can push that range. [links]

I have had an inspector require a GEC bond and a bonding jumper around the meter before. more
the idea of grounding them is should there be a leak, the last thing you want is a spark from some errant voltage somewhere. Grounding and bonding removes this possibility. more

Also running a new circuit for my refrigerator. It may contain 4 lights also, I'm still working on trying to trace the wires for those to put them on a different circuit but it's a cluster The fridge has to be on its own circuit. This is part of the NEC and has been for years. You may have to pull new wires.amp;*K. Would a 15amp circuit be enough or should I run a 20?
Only in Canada. The OP is in USA. The fridge can be on the counter small appliance circuit if he wants. more
