Bleacher seating at the Marina Green will be free during today’s practice, but will require tickets during the races. Bleacher tickets have sold out for the races on Friday through Sunday but are still available for Wednesday’s and Thursday’s events at $25 per seat. more
The race village at Marina Green will feature a large screen broadcasting the action, as well as a public stage for pre- and post-race presentations involving the sailors. more
The regatta will then return to San Francisco for the Louis Vuitton Cup between July 4 and Sept. 1, 2013, followed by the America’s Cup Finals from Sept. 7-22, 2013. [links]

But hey, what you have is people sitting out a jetty with coolers, free grandstands at the start line (there are paid grandstands, as well) and an awesome America’s Cup Village pavilion that consists of NFL Experience Super Bowl-type of activities, a concert venue and seaside bar/restaurants.
You COULD walk it – and it’s very pleasant walk along the water and through Fisherman’s Wharf – but it will take 30-40 minutes even for those with a brisk pace. Another great option is to rent a bike; there are a couple of places to do that at the Wharf. [links]
If you are are at the start line, the Golden Gate Bridge is in the background. If you are at the finish line, along Pier 23 about two miles from Fisherman’s Wharf, you are at the party pavilion. [links]
