I'll take it out early to fish and have the family meet me at noon to spend the afternoon on the water. It only takes about :15 to fully convert from fish to ski mode. It's a heavy boat and could use more than the 56lb. thrust trolling motor it came with, but that would require jumping up to 24 v's and an extra battery. Not a huge issue.
I was just in the same situation. We were looking for a new boat that does both. But we fish more than tube so we went to the marina and checked out a few boats. We ended up ordering a 2010 Crestliner super hawk 1700. It is mainly a fishing boat but you can add the ski pylon and the front deck converts to a bowrider design. You can add a full padded sundeck up front that is removable and you can add a swim platform and many other options including a fold down back bench seat. [links]
