Open water divers can dive the Kittiwake but advanced certification with wreck qualifications are required for penetration. There is good diving year-round but note that hurricane season falls from June and November. The Kittiwake is a private park so you must pay an admission fee and visit the site with a licensed operator.

To get the most out of diving Saba it is best to be an Advance Open Water Diver or Deep Diver as some of the seamounts are at 90 feet. Enrich Air Nitrox is also a good certification to have here. These course are available at the local dive centers. [links]

If you are planning an upcoming dive trip or travelling to Saba, it is a really good idea to invest in travel insurance for scuba diving, because you never know what could happen and when you might need it (because accidents do happen!). I recommend this diving insurance as they offer worldwide coverage and focus on providing scuba divers a quality insurance and medical assistance service.

This small, no-frills dive resort in Bonaire always gets repeat customers – some of them have been visiting the Carib Inn regularly in the last 25 years – and for good reason. Divers simply feel at home here, with staff who are passionate about diving and eager to share their knowledge (including Bruce himself, who is repeatedly described in guest reviews as ‘hilarious’), and efficient operations that guarantee a hassle-free diving holiday. Bonus points: Excellent prices at the dive shop and a superb house reef. here
