Ideally, the patient will be awake, off of the ventilator, and sitting up in a chair at the bedside without six to 12 hours of surgery. This is to decrease the risks of common issues such as blood clots and pneumonia and to start the recovery process as quickly as possible. [links]
With each additional bypass that is needed the surgery is longer, requires more time under anesthesia, and is being done to treat more severe disease. more
If the blockage is severe enough and the blood flow is dramatically decreased or completely stopped, a heart attack is typically the result. It is possible to have several arteries blocked in this manner, which can pose a significant risk to the heart.
Richard N. Fogoros, MD, is a retired professor of medicine and board-certified internal medicine physician and cardiologist.
For some patients activities as simple as walking were limited by pain before surgery and can be done without pain after surgery. This does not mean that it is OK to rush into activities after surgery, but it does mean that some individuals are able to be more active after their recovery.
Mayer, Just for my on knowledge, you recommend that Terry attach the 4 wires of his Lid Lock to themselves? The "Positive" from the control board to the Electro Magnet relay, the Negative for the Relay, The sensor wire from the control board and the sensor return.. All attached to themselves? What's gonna happen when he plugs the machine back in?
I had the same problem with my Kenmore washer I took the same steps with the wires and it worked perfectly. Thank you for your post more
Even AFTER you've installed a new switch and latch, it will still do this if the WATER to the washer is turned OFF, or if there's not enough water pressure; there's a pressure-activated switch inside the washer that won't lock the door until it senses water pressure to the washer. here
These new ones have a sensor back inside the body with the controls, and if the sensor's not happy, the washer doesn't turn on. [links]
When wiring the dvd unit, you can bypass this safety feature on some models, while others require you to buy additional parts to accomplish this. Most newer models have switched to a system that senses motion and won't turn on regardless of how you wire it. However, some are still possible to bypass the old-fashioned way.
Find the ground wire (-12 volt). In most cars, it is black. For your specific car, you can consult a reference chart (see Resources). more
Connect the three wires by twisting them together and covering them with an end cap if you have one, or electrical tape if you don't. here
Strip the ends off of the wire that is supposed to be connected to the parking brake, the ground for the dvd player and the ground wire from the car. You only need about 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch of exposed wire. [links]
I loaned my skis out and when they came back after a few days the 96 GSX has a hole burned in the MPEM and won't work. Something shorted out and the folks replaced the 5A fuse with a 15A fuse; what the heck! Traced the short to the single purple wire going into the brain box then swapped the whole MPEM with the one from the 97 and it ran fine. Now I find out how much they cost plus reprogramming and I'm thinking "not so much."
MSD makes a rev limiter/advance curve box for about 100 bucks so I'm gonna run this rig w/o an MPEM. [links]
My question is what is required to bypass the MPEM? I know I need a white wire from the ignition module to the coil to make it spark and the yellow runs the starter solenoid and timing comes from the front via the magneto system. I'd like to run the start stop switch for just a start function and use the DESS key (with a shunt inside) to close the relay to power everything. What all does the ignition module get from the MPEM besides power? Does the ignition module have a brain which needs to be unlocked as well? I know the gauges, beeper, etc won't work but the boat is getting pretty old to be dumping a bunch of coin into it.
