It will then let you choose a file, giving you the chance to overwrite old ones if you want, and then you’ll return to the game. here

The game does save automatically regularly, but you can also do so manually from the pause menu.

However, you can also save the game manually so that you can be safe in the knowledge that your progress is safe. After all, you don’t want to take on a group of marauders, quit the game, and then find out that you have to do it all over again next time you start playing. more

It’s also worth noting that saving is limited if you’re playing on Supernova difficulty, which is the game’s highest and can only be selected when starting from the beginning. [links]

To manually do so in The Outer Wilds, pause the game by pressing Options if you’re on PS4 or Menu if you’re on Xbox One, and then choose the Save Game option. [links]

A quick aside: Depending on whether or not you’ve completed the “Pay for the Printer,” “The Commuter,” and “Sucker Bait” side quests for the Iconoclasts, you’ll either be dealing with Graham or Zora. The result(s) of those quests determine which of the two is in charge of the Iconoclasts.

To complete the “Canid’s Cradle” side quest on Monarch in The Outer Worlds, you’ll have to make a decision about siding with one group or another.

The “Canid’s Cradle” side quest starts when you complete all but the last step in the “Radio Free Monarch” main quest. This is a huge quest with a lot of steps — and those steps actually influence how you can go about completing “Canid’s Cradle.”

Head to the northwestern side of the map to approach the crash site. The closest fast travel target is in Cascadia. Head northeast along the road, shooting your way through any wildlife. more

Handing over the module to either group is an easy way to end the side quest: [links]

The secret option you have is to broker a peace between the two groups, using the module as leverage. (This will also The Outer Worlds’ Peace in Our Time Achievement or Trophy.) There are several steps involved, though:

A UDL gunship has crashed on Monarch, and both MSI and the Iconoclasts desperately want it.

Talk to Zora, who is not thrilled about what happened. Tell her that her and Sanjar should negotiate. You'll need Persuade (55) or you can use intelligence and perception. Persuade works well, and she'll agree to meet him. You'll get 3428xp [links]

Make your way there and a new location will unlock: Gunship Crash Site. As you enter, you can loot some corpses and then read the nearby terminal to gain some knowledge about the crash. You'll find out their crash was human error. Eject the Gunship Captain's Key and it will be added to your inventory. You can now access the rest of the ship.

Thanks so much! I had this issue as well, and I was so mad cause I couldn’t go back to my old saves to do her quest..What a shame, thought I was the only one!

If you want to help the MSI, simply talk to Sanjar at Stellar Bay and offer him the targeting module. You’ll get a lot of MSI reputation and a unique flamethrower called MSI Saltuna Searer. Graham, Zora and the rest of the Iconoclasts will end up dead.

So I screwed up as well and didn’t do Zora’s side optional. For you the player to know the importance of Zora to Monarch’s story so early is basically impossible. Easy mistake to make. [links]

Candid’s Cradle is a side quest in Outer Worlds. You’ll receive it automatically while playing the Radio Free Monarch main mission, and it requires you to choose between to warring factions. You’ll get a targeting module near the end, which you can either give to the Iconoclasts or the MSI. There’s also a third option, but it’s a bit tricky to pull off. If you’re wondering who to side with in Candid’s Cradle, this guide will show you what happens when you give module to Graham or Sanjar in Outer Worlds.

Is there any way to have a truce if you did not get Sucker Bait? Or can you at least still overthrow Graham? I really don’t want to toss a 20 hour playthrough down the drain, but I’m just not happy with the outcome and I was not aware you had to follow Zora to the medbay 🙁 [links]
