In addition to exclusivity, price is a big advantage of a Galapagos yacht charter. The trips listed on our website are showing rates per person, for travelers booking individual staterooms on prescheduled departures. But when you book a full boat private yacht charter, each person will save 10 to 30% off these regular per-person cruise rates. In addition to these built-in savings that a Galapagos charter brings, you can filter to view current charter-specific offers among our Galapagos cruise deals. [links]
Charters are typically planned and contracted at least one year in advance of the cruise departure date, but as long as space is available a small ship can still be chartered. Most charters should be secured a year or more in advance. Holidays including Christmas, New Year’s and Easter should be booked two years in advance. Galapagos Islands Luxury Yacht Charter Guide
Spread across either side of the equator in the Pacific Ocean, the Galapagos Islands are composed of eighteen main islands and four minor islands. The largest of the destinations, Isabela Island, is located towards the western edge of the archipelago and provides visitors the chance to trace its million years of history through its fascinating geology. For the best views of the Galapagos, there’s nothing quite like climbing the volcanic cone at Bartholomew Island to take in the Pinnacle Rock which has become a veritable symbol of the archipelago. The Galapagos Islands are a perfect yacht charter destination for groups or families seeking adventure. Private Galapagos yacht charters allow you to explore the incredible history, nature, and wildlife of these volcanic islands.
In fact, when it comes to the weather, the Galapagos Islands only have two real seasons. From January to April, visitors to the archipelago will find themselves in the heart of a warm, rainy season; one marked by warm sea currents, less wind, and ultra-calm seas. During this same season, those at higher elevations will notice heavy rains that fill rivers and streams and thus flow down to the lower portions of the islands.
During the dry season, which lasts from May through December, yacht charter guests will find that the southern islands are windy, causing temperatures to drop rapidly. Similarly, the interior of the islands will drop to the mid-70’s, accompanied by less rain along the Galapagos coast.
