Boat carpets are quite similar to their household counterparts but are made of marine grade synthetic materials. Regular carpet material will attract mold and mildew while marine grade material resists them. It can withstand damage from moisture and dry in a shorter time as compared to household carpets. They are prone to accumulating dust and food droppings. The carpet must be regularly cleaned and sprayed with a protectant to minimize sun damage and preserve its color. This is a Custom built 1995 Southern Star 24 foot Double decker Pontoon boat. This boat was manufactured in Sylacauga, Al http://www.southernstarmfg.com/pontoon.shtml It is equipped with a 70 hp Mercury force motor. For its age the boat is in good condition. However there are worn places on the carpet on the front side of the deck. The carpet has been replaced on the top deck. The sectional chair in the back of the boat, as well as the captain’s chair have been recovered. The large engine deck lid needs to be recovered. The boat is from my father’s estate we are in the process of liquidating. THIS BOAT DOES NOT COME WITH A TRAILOR. The carpet may look wet cause we steam cleaned it.
