The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is just over a week away, and Atlantic Yacht & Ship couldn’t be more excited! We’ve been dedicating our blog to FLIBS all month, and wanted to focus this week’s on all of the fun events taking place to get everyone else as amped up as we are. Boat show season parties began with the Triton Expo that took place on October 12 th , and more are planned starting tomorrow and going through November 12 th . Here are some highlights:

“We donated our 34-foot boat, donated fuel, and did 34 trips with them,” James said. “Now the program has grown. We also help fund the local shark-tagging program, right here out the Port Everglades inlet with Nova Southeastern University.”
Yacht captains, crew and business donated the money during an art auction, and the net proceeds were given to the Save Our Seas Foundation. The foundation provides research, conservation, and education worldwide with a focus on sharks and rays.
Several staff of Yacht Chandlers, Bluewater Crew Training, and Nova Southeastern University display a $19,000 check for Save Our Seas Foundation at NSU’s Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center in Fort Lauderdale. here
“This seemed cool to us, so we said, ‘How about we ship them for free?’ ” James said. “We’ve been supporting them for about 10 years.”
