Then, remove the choke plate and choke shaft and felt or foam washer in the same manner

Use your carburetor repair kit to identify replaceable welch plugs. These seals cover openings in the carburetor left over from machining. Insert a sharpened 5/32" pin punch at the edge of each plug to be removed and tap cleanly to free the plug

Obviously there will be a little bit of damage as you are putting glue on your nail beds. But it is nowhere NEAR the damage I used to experience when doing gel manicures. My nails are not thin and weak after press on nails and once I file off any excess glue, they are relatively back to normal! I am usually able to go from one set to another without any issues.

I have 2 brands that I LOVE out of all the ones I’ve tested. One is the Kiss Nails brand. You can find these all over drugstores and places like Target, Walmart and Ulta. They are everywhere. This brand also makes a type called Impress Nails but those ones are not my favorite. The Impress ones tend to pop up easier due to the adhesive and my hair gets stuck underneath a lot which I don’t love.

Wash your hands and then you are set! My press on sets, especially the Static Nails, last me 12-14 days without any problems. If something happens and one does pop off, simply file down the old glue on your natural nail and glue it right back on.

The barnacle-inspired glue is made from a mixture of sticky microparticles and silicone oil, which repels blood away from tissue. here

To be fair, coagulant patches like TachoSil aren't designed to stop heavy streams of blood from tissue with unclottable injuries. But, in medicine, that’s an unmet need, says Christoph Nabzdyk, a cardiac anesthesiologist and critical care physician on the Mayo team. “With aging populations, you have more and more patients that have either acquired bleeding disorders or are ultimately on blood thinners,” he says. “The problem of bleeding, and bleeding control is substantial.” [links]

Excessive bleeding is, in some sense, an engineering problem.

Another challenge is that other types of sealants are known to kill tissue over time. Wang—and Yuk—note that a long-term study will be essential. So far, their longest observation on bleeding organs is about one month after the glue’s application, using the pigs from the Mayo Clinic test.

Sarrafian had planned that if the comparison commercial patch didn’t work after three minutes, she would reverse the anticoagulant in order to keep the pigs alive, and then allow them to clot and heal naturally. But she added another step to stop the bleeding faster: plopping on a pea-sized squeeze of the experimental glue. “It kind of is miraculous, in a way,” she says. [links]

Finding the right glue for the job isn't always an easy task and if you get it wrong, your DIY project will fall apart before you even get started. Thankfully, DIY blog Design*Sponge has put together a chart describing which glue is best to use and when. more

The chart walks you through what type of glue works on a range of materials. Epoxy, for instance, doesn't do so well on styrofoam, but it does wonders for organic materials. In addition to the chart Design*Sponge outlines pretty much everything else there is to know about glue. This includes curing times, benefits, and drying time. Hit up the full post for pretty much everything else you could possible need to know about glue over on Design*Sponge.

Polyurethane glues (gorilla glue is one brand) is really, really tough to get off of your hands, use gloves. In the last two weeks I have made a chicken tractor and a 20 ft boat. Titebond 3, waterproof carpenters wood glue will release even after 4-5 days of curing, wheras epoxy even overnight will not release. Polyurethanes glues are really tough as well, just not in a boat building situation, since it wants to expand, hence force your boat ribs away from the boat sides. In a construction type situation, I really like Loctite advanced polyurethane construction adhesive. In a boatbuilding situation, you can't beat the industry standard West system, which uses a resin, a hardener (different harderners have different curing times), and a mix in. The mix in is key, it is what gives epoxy it's tough nature, anywhere from glass beads for sandability, to a colodial mix in for bonding surfaces (does not sand well). Resin and hardener alone doesn't last, and doesn't stick stuff together as well. here
