Photographer Joshua Smith’s latest project, The Reef, is an aerial exploration of his experience with Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef. Smith’s hope is to raise awareness of Australia’s connection with the reef and the impact humans have on it. The series is the the fifth instalment of Down Under from Above, a captivating film and aerial photo series sharing unique perspectives of Australian landscape while highlighting the importance of preservation

Your diving instructor will take you on an island. You will start your introduction on the beach or shallow waters and slowly make your way down. Although you can go to these places with a snorkel, it’s a completely different experience when you dive. You get to go so close to the corals and you are surrounded by fish. I highly recommend it.
There are many ways to go diving at the Great Barrier Reef .
When I rent a car, I always compare prices on either Skyscanner or Rentalcars, take the cheapest option and then take an additional insurance somewhere else (way cheaper than taking the one from the rental company)
