Lift the burner grates off the stove. Remove the caps from the burner bases. Some stove tops have screws holding the burner bases onto the top of the stove, while others simply lift off the stove. If screws secure your bases, remove the screws holding them to the stove top.
Unplug the power cord from the gas stove and turn off the gas supply. Even though this is a gas stove, the stove requires electricity for the spark ignition switches and the control panel.
Remove the two screws from the top of the panel behind the burner knobs on a freestanding range. Open the oven door and remove the two screws on the bottom of the panel. Pull this panel off to access the spark ignition switches. more

Place the ignition switch to the run position after turning it on. The voltage of the battery should be reading at the positive terminal if the ignition switch is working effectively. If there is no voltage reading, or the reading is too low, there is a problem with the ignition wiring or the ignition switch. here
Using your multimeter, measure your battery’s voltage. Ensure your key is at the run position on the ignition switch. If the reading on the multimeter is less than 90% of the battery’s voltage, your ignition system is faulty.
