But the actor now wants to take oil companies to court “for knowingly killing people all over the world." A new book, 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change," exposes Schwarzenegger's hypocrisy.

Still, Schwarzenegger’s fellow environmentalists were distressed by his hypocrisy. Environmental activist Denis Hayes told the paper, “If you are going to be talking about an issue, you should be living the reality you are trying to embrace.” An undaunted Schwarzenegger did not let this stop him from touting “air-drying your clothes” to fight global warming. “These are the kind of things that anyone can do. Did you know that air-drying your clothes for six months saves 700 pounds of carbon dioxide?” he asked in his Governor’s Earth Day message in 2009. There were no reports of Schwarzenegger’s clothing hanging in the wind at the governor’s mansion in Sacramento. here

In 2016, former California governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger threatened climate skeptics on video: “Some politicians even want to shut down the EPA’s ability to regulate carbon. I would like to strap their mouth to the exhaust pipe of a truck, turn on the engine and let’s see how long it would take them to tap out.”68 Yes, you heard that correctly, the Terminator wants to terminate skeptics. In 2013 Schwarzenegger had threatened death to skeptics by the same method, saying he wished to “strap some conservative-thinking people to a tailpipe for an hour and then they will agree it’s (CO2 ) a pollutant!” Schwarzenegger was conflating carbon dioxide with carbon monoxide. Schwarzenegger’s death wish is not the first time that climate skeptics have been threatened with deadly carbon monoxide—or that the warmists have demonstrated their confusion about which carbon compound it is that they are blaming for climate change. At a 2011 presentation at Aspen’s American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) summit, I was told to drive my car into a garage with the engine running and then close the doors. My attempts to explain the difference between carbon dioxide—a harmless trace essential gas we all exhale—and toxic carbon monoxide were without success. A Different Holocaust Comparison

Famous people like to tell everyone else how to live, and all the things they’re doing wrong – but the limousine liberals don’t actually have to follow the rules they set out for everyone else.

“In order to secure our future and to prosper, we need to evolve our economic model,” he stated.

But Charles didn’t hang around long. He jumped into another private jet to fly 750 miles to Davos, dumping another 18 tons of carbon. more

Unsurprisingly charter companies would prefer to earn income on that flight so they will sell the flight at a discounted “empty leg” rate. This generally ranges from between 25% to 75% of the normal charter price based on the routing. [links]

In smaller jets, the cockpit is visible to the entire cabin, so you get some amazing views on takeoff and landing. more

Warning: As someone who has taken numerous XOJets, they are notoriously unreliable for empty legs. If the plane is needed elsewhere, or goes mechanical, then you are left on your own without recourse. I have, more than once, already been at the airport when they’ve “cancelled” the flight.

A relatively new phenomenon, in which charter customers who want to defray some of the costs of the private jet flight can do so by offering individual seats for sale. This makes sense when you consider that many people chartering private jets are looking for scheduling convenience over privacy. [links]

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said humanitarian aid could rise by 10%. He said the aid budget would be reconfigured for development and humanitarian purposes and that the Taliban would not get any money previously earmarked for security.

The Taliban has declared an 'amnesty' across the country today, urging people to return to their homes while vowing that government staff and women will be protected, and even invited to join the government.

All flights were suspended on Monday when thousands of people rushed the airport, desperate to leave the country. In shocking scenes captured on video, some clung to a plane as it took off and then fell to their deaths. At least seven people died in chaos at the airport, U.S. officials said. [links]

Germany and Canada have said they will take 30,000 refugees between them, and some in the US have warned 80,000 visas may need to be granted to all those they have promised sanctuary - such as translators and informants, who now live in fear of Taliban reprisals.
