To hire a speedboat to drive yourself you must have suitable qualifications and experience. An International Certificate of Competence is ideal. In the UK this can be obtained with an RYA level 2 powerboat certificate. But for an extra charge you can always hire a skipper. We can offer private excursions with a skipper. If you would like to charter a boat for a day or two or for your whole stay, give us a call or email us and we will tell you the type of boats we can source in the area you are staying and give you a price quote. We have many villas which can provide a boat mooring. Ask our advice on the villas we would recommend if you wanted to charter a boat during your stay and be able to moor it close to your villa.

Note that it is important to ensure that your credit card company knows of your intent to travel to our country so that we can authorize your card for the deductible. Otherwise, this causes delay at the base since your boat will not be able to leave the dock until the card is properly authorized. [links]

Our yacht charter are fully insured. The insurance deductible or security deposit is the maximum out-of-pocket expense you will incur should an accident occur. The amount depends on the yacht size. You also have the choice to lessen the insurance deductible. The premium or buy-down cost is approximately [200-300 USD/per week] depending on the yacht. This brings the maximum deductible (out of pocket expense) down to [115] in case of damage. [links]
When you take a skippered charter it is entirely up to you where you go. The skipper’s local knowledge will go a long way but he will also be guided by you, your interests and preferences of where you would like to spend your holiday. [links]
Because of their size, power and price, larger yachts can be chartered only with skipper or crew, and there is usually a separate crew cabin. However, if there isn’t one on board, keep in mind to save a berth for skipper. Besides sleeping arrangements for skipper, you are also responsible for the food for the crew so don’t forget about that when buying groceries or going out to the restaurant. more
Chartering a skippered yacht in Croatia is in many ways different than a bareboat yacht charter. It is a laid back holiday where the sailing experience comes as an interesting originality without the stress and danger that comes with the harvesting of wind’s abundant power. With power yachts it is similar; the responsibility of handling an expensive and powerful machine is substituted with the luxury of a carefree vacation by skippered yacht charter.
Skipper cost is around 150€ per day (25% VAT included) and it is custom that skipper has meals with the crew. Payment of skipper will be done with your charter invoice or during your check-in in our base office.
Skippers allow for non-sailors or sailors without qualifications to charter a yacht and experience what we sailors have been going on about for years. Being invariably local, the skippers are also able to advise you on ports to visit, restaurants to eat and places to swim. here

How to get licence
*On our course you will obtain all necessary theorectical and practical knowledge needed to pass the exam. The exam is held near O ur Base in Šibenik Port Authority building . This is the same location where participants show their docking skills on the Academy training boat. The entire administration and exam procedure lasts a couple of hours – depending on the number of participants. more
