Electric motors have brought a world of choice to our canals, it is important not to be afraid of this choice and understand that these systems are proven and very reliable requiring only minimal maintenance. But best of all they offer the greenest solution out there today.
Silence is golden as someone once said. For those who are going to travel very long distances the parallel system might suit best of all.
It is not always possible to charge a narrow boat overnight using shore power a hybrid system is required. Put simply, hybrid power is the combination of different technologies to produce power. This may mean there is an electric motor working in combination with a petrol or diesel motor that in turn runs a generator.

We live on a 60 acre no wake lake called Bullhead Lake in Brillion Wisconsin. I purchased this new on August 15, 2010 for $4,021.50 (see original receipt). It was purchased new and it has approximately 15 hours on it. In 2012 I hurt my back and this unit has been garage kept and out of the water ever since.
