A poorly maintained Jet Ski that has been used for 30 hours can be in worse shape than a well-maintained Jet Ski that has seen 200 hours on the water. However, you can start to develop a picture of what to expect from a Jet Ski based on hours of usage. A used Jet Ski is bound to have a few scratches, but be sure to inspect it thoroughly for any major damage, such as excessive rust. If you are buying a used Jet Ski privately, check out how the owner was storing it while inspecting the wear and tear. Did he have it sitting out in the sun? Did he have it in the shade? Was there a cover on it? The elements can be damaging to a Jet Ski over the long term, so one that has been stored in a shed or garage away from direct sunlight is going to be in the best shape.
Just like when you're buying a used car, you should ask to see the maintenance records for the Jet Ski. You want to know whether the Jet Ski has received the proper upkeep and whether it has been in any accidents that required a major repair or rebuild. Luxury jet skis are heavier and are fairly similar to the other classes of jet skis, but the heavier frames lends itself to a smoother, slower ride. Because of their weight and larger size, they are less agile and have less responsive steering. The most notable difference in a luxury jet ski is the vast array of features available on these models.
A recreation or rec-lite jet ski will cost anywhere from $5K to $10K. A performance jet ski will cost between $7.5K and $15K. A luxury jet ski will cost anywhere from $10K to $18K.

Up for sale are my TWO 2007 Kawasaki STX 12-F Jet Skis with Dual Two place Trailer and covers for each ski. Both skis are identical 1200 cc three seater skis. These jet skis are in excellent condition and have been well maintained. Both were winterized every season (fogging and oil change). There are no rips or tears in the seats. The grips are a bit messed up (for lack of better words) as you can see in the pics. This is from the covers pressing down on the handle bars and the sun heating up the grips. There is nothing wrong with the function. The ski with the yellow letters has 110 hours and the ski with the blue letters has 76 hours. These are very fast and sporty, however come with a governor that allows control over the top speed of the skis. They both come with Jet Ski brand covers. There are pull down steps on the back of the ski that make getting back on the ski much easier. They pull as skier or wakeboarder without problem. They have never been flipped and only have some scratches on the bottom of hull from beaching. The trailer is a 2008 Load Rite dual galvanized trailer. Bunks are in good condition. I am the original owner of all of the units. They were purchased as a package.
You are watching a matching pair of 2006 Sea Doo GTX Limited Jet Skis with a dual trailer to boot! 17 hours & 18 hours. I bought these awesome bikes brand spanking new from an authorized dealer for my family and we put 17hrs. on one and 18hrs. on the other. My kids had a blast even though my wife only allowed them to use the training key that limits the speed to under 40mph. Of course, with the black key, these babys screamed up to 70mph. and that was with three people. They are in perfect condition (see pics) and we always washed them before covering them and putting them away. The skis were used only in fresh water. Many pictures available on request. I have for sale a 2000 Kawasaki 900 STX and a 1997 Kawasaki 900 ZXI. Both are in good condition. 1997 runs great and has no issues. The 2000 also starts up and runs great and I just purchased a new battery for it on 6/7/14. Last year I redid the whole trailer, new wheels and tires, two fenders, all new lights and wiring and a new crank. Just putting the feelers out there to see if there is any interest in these.
