try unplugging the kill switch on the handle bars and see if it grts spark,, those get water inside them and short out the ignition,, if it sparks whit the kill switch unplugged, either disassemble the switch and clean it or replace it.
Which one is the kill switch, the red button, or the piece that the key goes under? And where do you unplug it at? [links]
I would check kill switch also [links]
Sounds like maybe bad grounding somewhere? Check for corroded loose connections, a lot of times the wiring right before the plug boots corrodes. Cutting it back and replacing the boots might help.
Send the stator and CDI back and try different ones.
just to be sure we are dealing with a spark problem, have u checked compression and dumped some fuel into the intake to cover those bases? compression should be at least 130 psi. whats your battery voltage while cranking? should not drop below 10.5 v.
One thing to watch out for is the torque on the front cover bolts. I never use a torque wrench on mine, I just get them good and snug, but not overtly tight and haven't had any issues in a long time. I did have one 650 10 years ago that was plagued with problems in that area. Don't know if the cover had been off too many times or what, but it kept stripping the threads.
The other thing is test the volt regulator out as well. Other than that the only other thing it might be is if your plug wires have pulled loose from the plug boots. That is common on these, but doubtful if you changed CDI's and still have the issue. here

Don't be afraid of the stator, it isn't hard to pull out. A little time consuming, but that's it. The hardest part is pulling the flywheel, which once that front cover is off, you might be able to have a shop do for $15 or $20 if you don't have a tool. I believe a gear puller from an auto parts store is all you need. here
