The Lagoon 43 Powercat comes from one of the most respected names in the catamaran industry. Designed from the ground up these boats have a semi-displacement hull design with high bows and chine that are designed to deflect water back downward to reduce spray. They have solid fiberglass hulls under the water for strength and balsa core above the water line to ensure they maintain performance. The Jeanneau Lagoon power range is known for its incredible use of space, both inside and out. The main benefit, without doubt, however, is the fuel economy, even with her upgraded powerful 320 hp twin diesels, at 7kn of speed, she is burning 1.2l/hr in total, which can save a significant amount of your fuel bill in comparison to a conventional motor yacht. With these big engines in her, she will do 24kns … and cruise great at 15-18kn … from slow and leisurely, burning about as much fuel as a sailing catamaran … fast enough to get out of the way of weather or make the anchorage before nightfall. 1992 Lagoon 47 Lagoon “CURRENT PRICE” IS A GUIDE. ALL OFFERS RESPECTFULLY CONSIDERED. General Description Sailing Catamaran SOLSTICE is the popular French award winning Lagoon Catamaran Design. Built in 1992 she is hull number 7 of only 34 ever built. The yacht underwent a major refit in 2005 and has had multiple upgrades since. The boat has a very large deck space. The yacht has a draft of 3'11", allowing the yacht to enjoy shallow areas, yet also is great for Blue Water sailing. Sailing yacht SOLSTICE has a crisp clean interior with fabulous custom wood flooring and white leather soft furnishings, with formal dining table and plush sofa. Large windows provide ample natural light, while wide sliding glass doors open the space to the cockpit for an airy expansive feel. The 2 double guest cabins are accessed from the starboard side of the salon, while the 3rd cabin is aft of the port side. The cockpit features an alfresco dining option, and additional seating under the Bimini. 2 large sun pads on either side bring added comfort; aft extended transoms make water access simple. S/Y SOLSTICE offers guests wonderful lounging on her foredeck with further sun pads and 2 large trampolines. The yacht sails quickly at cruising speeds of 6.5 knots and maximum speeds of 12 knots. The Lagoon has consistently been a top finisher in the transatlantic ARC challenge, making her fast, comfortable and stable!
