This vessel needs a little TLC as the wood needs a good cleaning and waxing. The floors have some aged thin carpeting in places and it appears to have had the carpet ripped up in the galley. The seller tells us that everything works. There is some rubrail damage that the seller will fix. He tells us he rebuilt the Starboard engine 5 years ago and has less than 10 hours on it. The Port engine is a newer Vortec engine. He has used the boat less than 100 hours. He also tells us the starboard transmission was tested this summer it tested fine. He put in a new clutch plate and both fiberglass mufflers are new. Don't miss this roomy double cabin 1987 Mainship Trawler. The Mainship 36 DC was originally introduced in 1984. Aside from her conservative styling, what set the Mainship 36 apart from competitive models was an easily driven, semi-displacement hull designed for efficient low-speed operation while retaining the ability to run at higher planing speeds. The accommodations are arranged as you enter from the aft deck through the sliding glass doors you step into the roomy salon and then continue into the galley portside and dinette starboard. If you like to cook, the galley is perfect as there is everything you could think of: a big fridge/freezer, sink, toaster oven, stove, oven, cabinets, and room to move around! Step down a few steps to find a bunk stateroom portside and the head with a big shower stall and bifold doors on starboard and continue back to the Vee berth. Topside, the flybridge is set up with the helm forward and guest seating aft, and there's room on the full-width afterdeck for a few extra pieces of deck furniture. With just 270 hp Crusader gas engines, the Mainship 36 delivers a relatively good turn of speed. She'll cruise at 14-15 knots and reach a top speed in the low 20s. Some enticing features are the very low engine hours and Auto Pilot and Hummingbird GPS and Hooka Air System. Reason for selling is downsizing.
