Luxury yacht builder McMullen & Wing’s five construction sheds are housed in four separate buildings in Auckland, New Zealand, along with engineering, electrical and joinery workshops. Combined with the design office and administration block, the luxury yacht builder has facilities to accommodate projects large and small. Because all facilities are on the same site, communication is efficient and clients can observe their entire project.
The 24-metre Day Money advanced composite sportfishing boat was built in 1999. It was the first of four sportfishing yachts built by McMullen & Wing for Garlington Landeweer. In 2001 the 35-metre Surprise, a steel/aluminium expedition motor yacht, was built to a design by Ward Setzer for Pacific cruising. In 2010 the 45-metre Big Fish steel/aluminium luxury expedition motor yacht was launched, and is one of the world’s most successful luxury charter yachts. here
In 1969 McMullen & Wing was founded, building steel hull boats at the current location on the Tamaki River in Auckland. Founders Chris McMullen and Eric Wing set the standards and enthusiasm that remain today. here

Outdoors, the large sundeck features a sunbed, sunpads, al fresco dining, a removable sunshade and a film projector to enjoy movies under a starry sky.
The main saloon has L-shaped seating and an entertainment centre including a new LG 50-inch television screen and a Linn audio/visual system, while forward is a formal dining table with seating for up to guests. A versatile interior layout includes the option of opening up the galley into the main saloon, or closing it off for complete privacy. A second bonus guest saloon is located on the lower deck, with an L-shaped leather sofa and study.
Ermis² was built in ultra-lightweight composites by New Zealand yard McMullen & Wing to a design by Humphreys Yacht Design and delivered in 2008 with a refit in 2010_._ Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in four cabins comprising a large master suite, a double with a king sized bed and two twins, each with a Pullman berth. All cabins on this yacht for sale have entertainment centres, LCD television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities.
One of the world’s fastest yachts, Ermis² is powered by three MTU 16V4000 M90 series engines, each rated at 3,698hp. With her Kamewa jet drives, her total power output is a superlative 11,000hp, resulting in a top speed of 58 knots and comfortable cruising at 45 knots.
Chris McMullen and Eric Wing started building steel hull boats in 1969 at the present yard location on the banks of the Tamaki River in Auckland. The 1970’s was the era of a number of successful racing yacht builds for McMullen and Wing, including the Wai-Aniwa, winner of the 1972 One Ton Cup in Sydney, Australia.

The internationally acclaimed Big Fish (148foot / 45meter), a steel/aluminum luxury expedition motor yacht, was built in 2010. Big Fish received numerous prestigious awards, including the International Superyacht Society award for best motor yacht in her length category, Showboats International Design Award for Naval Architecture, World Yachts Trophy for Innovation, Asian Boating Award for Innovation and a judges’ special commendation for best yacht at the World Superyacht Awards.
