The fuel gauge shows only one quarter full after I filled it up full. Any idea waht may be causing this? Where is the water from the blower and the drain hole coming from? I didn't let any water to get in the boat from fishing use and there is no water sport yet?<br /><br />Thanks, Greg S for the info for the submerged back ladder. I guess I just have to get used to it. here

Hi Jim:<br /><br />When I turned the blower (toggle switch) on, water from the hole near the air intake vent close to the stern was shooting out for about a minute or less. I don't know if the bilge pump and the blower are connected.<br /><br />It was some water from the from the drain hole, not so much in the hull bottom (the storage part connected to the engine compartment through a hole).<br /><br />How do I clear a stuck float in the gas tank or find out the short?<br /><br />Thanks again, Jim. How hard are these to change out. Seems like it would be pretty straight forward. The one thing i need to know is how to tell the difference between throttle and shift cables. Anything else that could pop up? here

1982 Mercruiser 120, with original no name throttle box/control. Neutral safety switch was acting up so i decided to just replace the whole thing.
I got the Uflex B184M made specifically for mercruiser cables. It caomes with a neutral safety switch, and trim switch. '
Just put motor in neutral and throttle closed. The do the same with controls and adjust to the cables. The shift cable will be in mid position and the throttle cable will be at the end of its through. Be sure to look at you safety switch. It should be depressed so starter will work. [links]
