The C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta
A non-profit organization named after the late C. Thomas Clagett, Jr., a U.S. Navy, WW II veteran who loved to sail on the Chesapeake Bay. In his youth, Tom suffered temporary paralysis from a bout of meningitis; an experience that left him with a deep respect for the accomplishments of people with disabilities.

The Trawlerfest Events Team is excited to bring your favorite boat show and seminar series to Newport, a historic town deeply rooted in maritime tradition. With New England being such a popular destination for summer cruising, we have always felt that Newport was a natural fit for a summer Trawlerfest location. Plus, you can’t beat the late-season weather in Newport—and we hear the chowder’s pretty good, too.

The Newport International Boat Show encompasses 13 acres of historic Newport Harbor allowing you to enjoy everything the City-by-the-Sea has to offer while experiencing a full range of powerboats and sailboats from both domestic and international companies - many making their official debut in Newport! Special events and opportunities for the whole family include our At- The- Helm Training program where experienced boaters and novices alike can learn boat handling or brush up on known skills with a certified captain at the helm of either a powerboat or sailboat, and the Newport For New Products – People’s Choice Award where you can cast your vote for the best new boat in the show.
