I am selling my 1997 Carolina Skiff with a 2002 Yamaha 50 outboard engine. I have had this boat for a few years and I no longer live near the water, so I need to sell it. This boat has just been serviced and mechanically works perfectly. There are some signs of wear cosmetically, but nothing serious. Anchor with sinker chain and line, dock lines, manual, tie-down, vest but old, and other Coast Guard stuff (12 gage flares, VA tag and boat fishing tag new this year. Gun has a pile of flairs that will still work but outdated. The 4 new ones are all you need to pass check and expired extras are legal. The fire extinguisher has never been used but appears bouncing around has knocked needle off. Sure it works but on a sealed boat under 16' does not require one from what I read. You need to check your area.
Boat in good condition. Includes fwd fishing deck, forward bench seat, rear storage box bench seat and new SS wheel, helm, steering cable, console, throttle control and cables . The fish and tackle igloo ice cooler serves as a helm seat along with the coast guard required throwable cushion to save on fishing space or the rear box seat can be moved fwd. All fiberglass boat with solid foam interbottom. Few nicks and crazing in gel from sun and dock. All of bottom is just like what you see in the front picture. If used at night, boat would need battery lights since there is no motor battery. Boat will operate in two foot of water with engine on second tilt notch. more
The trailer is in good shape. It is galvanize. It was painted Rustoliem Flat Primer so it blended in because I have neighbors on both sides of my dock. Trailer has been used only as a static launch on my boat ramp. here
