Turn the water off. Continue running the engine for a few more seconds until no more water expels out the back.
Turn the garden hose's water on to full strength. Continue running the engine for four to five minutes. This will flush all of the salt water out of the engine. [links]
Turn off the Sea-Doo's engine and remove the garden hose from the water injection port.
Unscrew your Sea-Doo's drain plugs.
The rattle sound you hear is from the pump and since it’s not in the water it’s not floating so it bounces around.
Don’t let someone selling a jet ski fool you with “it runs fine on the hose” as it is not the same as running it in the actual water.
If you want to run the Sea-Doo out of the water for a little longer you’ll need to hook it up to the water supply to flush it. more
In the back of the Sea-Doo is a flush adaptor that is threaded to fit a regular garden hose. more
A Sea-Doo is very different than all the other brands of watercraft on the market when it comes to cooling the engine.
Many manufacturers don’t make it easy and require you to buy a flush adaptor for certain models. To make this easy I’ve listed some options below. It’s still best to consult your owner’s manual first. [links]
Please note that proper maintenance is important to keep your Sea-Doo Spark in safe operating condition.
Because of this, if you are considering maintaining and servicing your Sea-Doo Spark yourself, always refer to the owner’s manual!
You should change the oil in your Sea-Doo Spark after every 100 hours or every year, whichever comes first. Don’t forget that if you change the oil in a Sea-Doo Spark, the oil filter must be replaced at the same time! Beyond the periodic oil change, it’s recommended that you frequently check the oil level and refill it if necessary.
To change a Sea-Doo battery, first remove the access panel, then the old battery. Make sure you disconnect the negative (black) cable first! more
Finally, unscrew all the bolts and remove the top deck. Note that lifting and moving the deck is much easier with assistance. [links]
You can winterize Sea-Doo Spark TRIXXs in the same way as regular Sea-Doo Sparks, because all of these models are powered with the same 899cc, non-supercharged Rotax engine.
