This was THE best way to see the Amalfi! Traveling by boat allowed us to see and visit so many beautiful and secluded coves and really experience a side of the Amalfi that we just couldn’t see from land/car. Our kids (6, 10 and 12) had an amazing time diving off the front of the boat and snorkeling in the crystal clear water.
This trip - sightseeing and swimming along the Amalfi coast with Daniele - was easily one of the best activities during the entire vacation! here

I always do a bit of research before traveling because I want to experience the best. I found both of our boat tours on TripAdvisor after reading a ton of reviews, and to be honest they couldn’t have been better. We booked semi-private boat tours for Capri and the Amalfi Coast. I originally wanted to book our own private boat, but I love meeting new people while traveling. So I booked semi-private tours which means you embark on your adventures with about 6-8 other people. We met so many cool people from all around the world, so I’m really happy we did:) Definitely book the same tours we did if you want to experience pure bliss.

The most luxurious five star hotel in Amalfi is Hotel Santa Caterina. Not only do they have their own private beach, but this historic hotel is perched on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. You’ll feel like you’re in your own world/heaven. here

Capri is by far my favorite place on Earth. I want to spend the rest of my summer’s here. Not only is the boat ride over beyond magical, but then you get to the island and you’re just in pure awe. It’s such a clean, beautiful, and rich town. I still can’t believe it’s real. Next time I go I really want to check out the Capri Palace which looks amazing from what I found online. Make sure you check out Wond&rland which is the best luxury boutique on the island. They also carry my silk scarf line A.M. CLUB so if you need a luxe accessory on your trip, pop into this store and say hi to the owners for me! Besides shopping, the beaches are beautiful, and food is amazing. If you have time pop on over to Anacapri which has a handful of Michelin star restaurants. Capri is without question one of the most luxurious things to do in the Amalfi Coast. more

The Amalfi Coast feels like the richest, most pure and blissful place on Earth. The vibe is authentic and happy, yet relaxed and content. The people are full of positive energy. The food is so fresh, yet rich in taste. The scenery looks like a real life painting. Basically, the Amalfi Coast is 43 miles of heaven on Earth. We’re already making plans to spend at least a few weeks here next summer. I rarely like to travel to the same place twice, however the Amalfi Coast is an exception. Your captain will let you call the day. If you want to stop in a town (we had lunch in Amalfi), no problem. Cliff diving? Ok. Swimming in a cave (grotto)? Yep. Cruise all day? You can do that. And don’t be afraid to ask him to speed up the boat; I think they default to slloooowww cruise but will run faster upon request.
We went out on the gozzo boat with Captain Marco, who was incredible. He had suggestions on where to go, but listened to what we wanted and adapted to make us happy. He had excellent suggestions on restaurants, swim spots, caves and a place to jump off of rocks that our kids loved. He was of the same mind as us to skip the Emerald Grotto and to go to better spots which he knew about. He couldn't reach the restaurant we wanted to go to (La Tonnerella) by phone, so he pulled into their harbor to make the reservation in person on our way out. He also serenaded us with opera inside the very cool Pandora's Cave. This might sound hokey but it was awesome. here

All in all, I had ZERO complaints about the day. From the booking process to check in (they are one of 2 or 3 tents set up in Positano marina, you can’t miss them) to the service during the cruise, everything was PERFECT. Text Elisabeth now to set up your private cruise. Although it was only the two of us, the 32 was spacious enough to comfortably seat 4 couples or more. more

What an amazing experience. I’ve been to a lot of beautiful places, a s this tour was-far and away-the best experience I’ve ever had. My wife celebrated her 40th birthday on a beautiful Aprea 32 that was clean and elegant (incredibly well-maintained boat, 5 stars). For American readers- think a perfectly maintained vintage Chris Craft cruiser with twin diesels. The seat cushions were spotless and comfortable. The teak was perfectly kept; the metal was spotless. Hermes, our captain, was very attentive and knowledgeable.

We took the full day trip to Capri from Positano. It was fine. It was also $1200 for the day so fine ain't what we expected.
Reading reviews I was excited about the "above and beyond" service. We recieved fine service, nothing special. Angelo was nice and a good naviagtor. We didn't recieve snacks (I LOVE SNACKS) but were offered beverages and they were cold, so that was good. The boat also had trash on it, bummer. He suggested we speed to Capri to avoid huge crowds, which was helpful. If you do go to Capri, unless you love to shop at designer shops, you won't need much time there. Also if you can, AVOID Fridays in Capri as the Cruise Ships visit on that day. here

Again nothing hugely "wrong" per say but I would say shop around, the value does not match the price. more
