My power steering has been malfunctioning and would go empty in a few days since I bought my 1998 Toyota Camry. Now when I add more fluid to my empty reservoir, it empties completely again in less than a minute. Before I filled the reservoir, I raised the front end and tire to reveal the pump. And after pouring the fluid I noticed the pump it self rapidly leaking all the fluid I just poured. It was leaking in the area where the pump was connected to the belt-wheel. Am I able to remove the pump completely and drive safely without power steering and not damaging anything else on the car?
