He continued in another tweet, “These attitudes, including demands and grievances, should be presented according to the tradition that we are accustomed to within the Qatari family. We should not deviate from these customs under any circumstances. The Qatari family resolves its disputes under the banner of the nation, and under the banner of the guardian, especially since there is a Grievances Committee that was ordered by the Emir.” [links]

DOHA--Recent tweets of former Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani sparked controversy on social media and were massively ridiculed.
On his twitter account, Sheikh Hamad said, “Any supportive position in favour of the emir is a duty to the nation and the guardian [Emir], and no one should view such a support as an act of kindness beyond what is due. Since ancient times, he who does not support his guardian and his country has been dishonoured. As I said, this support is a duty, under any circumstances and at any time and any place.” [links]

H.H. Sheikh Jassim has been the Qatar National Cancer Society’s (QNCS) honourary president since 1997 and the chair of the High Committee for Coordination and Follow Up since 1999. He is also Chair of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Natural resources since 2000, and the Aspire Academy’s patron since 2003. here
H.H. Sheikh Jassim was the Heir Apparent of Qatar, but gave up his rights to become the next heir of the country on 5 August 2003 and gave the title to his brother H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani who is the Amir of Qatar since 2013.
In 1997, H.H. Sheikh Jassim was conferred with the Grand Cordon (special grade) of the Supreme Order of the Renaissance (Jordan); in 2000, he was conferred with the Grand Cordon of the Order of Merit (Lebanon) and the Grand Cordon of the Order of Al Nahayyan (United Arab Emirates).

The plan established for the Foundation’s work depends entirely on self-financed.
