The first five levels of the Culinary Career Track requires your Sim to prepare food/mix drinks every day. To complete this task, you’ll have to either cook three meals or make three drinks or do a combination of the two. Here’s a quick tip: Instead of making group meals, prepare single meals so your Sim will spend more time cooking in the kitchen. Cook when your Sim is inspired, and that will help your Sim gain cooking or gourmet cooking skill faster.

In the Sims 4, every Career and Skill has a corresponding Ideal Mood. For the Culinary Career, it is Inspired.

“Anyone can make dinner or mix a drink at home. The Culinary career is for those who want to take it to another level and make money doing it.”

Completing the Master Chef Aspiration is incredibly easy! Its four milestones include Milestone I:Aluminum Chef, Milestone II: Captain Cook, Milestone III: Culinary Artist, and Milestone IV: Master Chef. Completing all these will give the Fresh Chef bonus trait as a reward, which will allow your Sim to cook superb meals that never spoil. more

The next promotion will make you a Sous Chef (8 A) . You have to learn the 8th level of Cooking and the 5th level of Gourmet Cooking (obviously by cooking more meals and gourmet meals). You also have to cook 6 unique meals. Just click on a refrigerator and select 6 unique meals one after another to complete this task. here

This career is fairly interesting and useful. You have to choose between two branches: the Chef (A) and the Mixologist (B) which are completely different considering both their difficulty and the earnings. During the entire career you should go to work with the Inspired emotion. The Chef (A) branch is a lot easier and at the same time a lot more profitable not to mention that it requires you to focus on skills which are very useful and you will use them daily: Cooking and Gourmet Cooking . As the Mixologist (B) you will not rely on these abilities so much and you will focus on the Mixologist skill instead. The biggest challenge during this path is to make 12 friends.

You will become a Head Dishwasher (2) and you will have to learn the Mixologist skill. To do so you have to buy a bar (in a building mode in a Living Room menu) click on it and choose "Make a drink" option and then select any drink that is available (you can also learn this skill from a book ). Remember to complete your daily task which is cooking.

As a Chief Drink Operator (8 B) you will receive a Vinoteca Bottle Rack which helps you to stay Inspired. Hang it on a wall and turn on its aura. You also have to learn the 8th level of Mixologist and the 5th level of Charisma (by using a mirror). Now you have a very difficult task to complete since you need to have 12 friends. Remember to keep your relationships with your older friends by calling to them, writing through a computer or meeting them from time to time. You can read about it for example in the Secret Agent career description or in the Entertainment career description.

Your income as a Chef (A) considering how easy this career is will be really, really good. You will earn 9840 Simoleons (working 4 days per week 6 hours per day). The Mixologist (B) branch is much worse. Not only it's really difficult but it also provides you a very low income which is 5910 Simoleons (working 3 days per week 10 hours per day).

Now that the shift has started your customers will start to arrive and seat themselves. They can arrive in groups of one to four Sims. After they are seated you can click on their table and choose "Take Order". Once you take their order, you will be presented with a dialog box showing the order details. Make sure to take note of this by using the property chat. Once you click "OK" on the order dialog box, click on the P.O.S. (Point of Sale) terminal located on a podium near the front of the building and "Add Ticket". The order is then sent to the kitchen for the staff to prepare. more

When the shift is over a dialog box will pop up telling you how much money you have earned in the round. Another box may pop up at this time telling you that you were promoted to the next level. At the end of a work day you will get an additional pop up telling you what you need to improve on to be promoted. This could either be friends, skill, or your overall mood (green). During the intermission or 'coffee break' you can do things to help keep your Sim green, back cracks, hustle dances, flying hugs, etc. [links]

If serving hungry Sims while chatting the day away is your idea of a dream job then look no further than the restaurant job track. The Restaurant job track is a fun way to spend time with friends and earn a few extra Simoleons and charisma skill points on the side.

Madison got her third gold level date and completed the Serial Romantic Aspiration. She earned the trait Player. In case you are wondering why Madison is sad one of her “boyfriends” was an elder classmate of hers. She recently learned he passed away. At least that is one less guy for her to break-up with.

The Sims 4 Culinary Career is one of ten careers available in the game. At some point in this career your Sim will be required to choose between food or drinks as a primary focus. Inspired is favored mood and it is required at every level in both branches. You will want to send your Sim to work inspired and both primary skills (Cooking and Mixology) are boosted by the inspired mood. [links]

Chef Branch: Creative, Cheerful, Neat, Foodie, Perfectionist

The split in this career track happens at level 6 and you are asked to choose between Chef and Mixologist. Usually each branch in a career path has a relatively equal balance of benefits and weak points. However this is the exception. The Chef Branch is categorically better than Mixologist. The top level gets paid more per week while working fewer hours, the skills needed to complete the branch are both boosted by inspiration, and practicing gourmet cooking can also fulfill the daily requirement. The Chef branch gets more reward items with better effects and utility.

Until you reach level 6, you Sim will have to work on building cooking and mixology skills regardless of which path you intend to take. Fortunately, the daily task is flexible and will count for either. The optimal strategy is to balance out your daily task fulfillment between cooking meals and mixing drinks until both skills are at the required level 4. Once you reach that point, you can focus on the skill related to the branch you intend to choose. more

With this career, working on your daily task requires you to spend money since each item you cook has a price. If you are worried about your budget while practicing cooking, it is good to know that the cheaper single meals take just as much time and skill to cook as more expensive group meals. Cooking each meal as a single serving will have your Sim spending a lot of time cooking and building their skill as well as fulfilling their daily requirement. Throwing a party on your lot and having your Sim tend bar is also a good way to practice drink making. more
